Saw a "What are you watching?" thread and couldn't find a thread about what books you are reading so I made one.

So what are YOU reading? Doesn't matter if it's a graphic novel, comic book, web comic, novel, novella. Whatever it is post what it is and/or your recommendations for other books you enjoyed.

I'll start.

Right now I'm reading "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?". The book was the inspiration for Blade Runner. So far the book is pretty awesome.

Comic-wise, I'm reading Archer and Armstrong, Shadowman, Bloodshot, Superior Spider-Man, Swamp Thing, Justice League, and Deadpool. Book-wise, I'm reading I am America (And so can you) by Stephen Colbert. It's pretty amazing.

Brubaker's Captain America, Claremont's X-Men and a bunch of university engineering textbooks haha. I just recently finished Speaker for the Dead by Orson Scott Card, kind of a disappointment after Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow, I don't think I'll be continuing the saga.

Currently reading A Dance with Dragons. A little late, i know.

On deck, waiting to be read are; Tai Pan, by James Clavell; and Musashi: An Epic Novel of the Samurai Era, by Eiji Yoshikawa

I recommend..

Survivor and Lullaby, both by Chuck Palahniuk; for those who enjoy a rather weird tale.

Inferno and The Lost Symbol, both by Dan Brown; for those who enjoy history, mystery, diabolical schemes and well implemented plot twists.

The Morningstar StrainTrilogy, by Z.A. Recht; for those who want a suspenseful, thrilling story about surviving a Zombie Apocaypse. Also: Rise Again, by Ben Tripp, is another good zombie read.

Finishing "looking for alaska" by John Green, with eyes towards Black Science and The Nowhere Men. Also, a lot of rhetoric, theory, and philosophy in preparation for my impending huge-ass test.

Finished Preacher. Was good - though not necessarily top tier like some of the other Vertigo series I've read. The comedy was extremely juvenile and not my taste. But the main story was very good.

Prolly gonna check out Sweet Tooth next, since Lemire is too awesome.

After that I'm going to check out either DMZ, Scalped, Transmetropolitan or Northlanders.

At some point I'll get around to Fables, but I'm a little intimidated atm.

I'm on a Vertigo kick - what can I say? I was pretty dumb not to read this stuff sooner.

Hehe yes, that is probably my second favourite of the ones I've read, and not just for Guts! And he supposedly based that part on some of the stories he heard researching sex addicts for Choke? Crazy what some people will do to get their kicks O_O

I tend to start many books at once both comics and novels and I don't generally finish most of it right then, so I'm not really sure what I'm reading at the moment.

@jonez120: Yeah, I've read all of Dan Brown's books. I liked the Da Vinci Code, I loved Angels & Demons, The Lost symbol was pretty good, Digital Fortress was OK, I hated Deception Point, and Inferno is alright. I slowly am just getting tired of his books to be honest because he has a very formulaic writing style. Alone, each book is a fantastic or at the very least solid thriller. After reading them all, it's tiresome.
