well I don't think this was iconic,but there was this user called cmajor931,or something like that who got really pissed on a spiderman vs batman thread,it was hilarious!

obviously,he was banned....

Nah, but the only seriously noteworthy event I recall personally, is probably...

The Zoom Incident was pretty big back in the day. I still have my Zoom AV.
Klandicar's demise and the banning of Creator.
The fight for a Battle Forum Mod was also a big controversy. I have an AV for this as well.
The banning of Erik was more than interesting.

What happened was Zoom was banned for something nonsensical, so most of the battle forum vets bumped all the Zoom threads we could find saying only "Zoom" while wearing various Zoom avatars. The ban was lifted pretty swiftly if I recall correctly.

For me, Morpheus Leaving, Static leaving, Bane leaving- slightly less so coming back, Deranged Midget making Mod, k4tz making Staff, God_Spawn making Mod. These are all ones which I have seen, so can comment on directly.

Oh and of course, Anime vs Comics being lifted :-D

I remember when the rumor was announced that Bendis would be writing X-Men. A good twelve hours were devoted to how to handle Fade's response to it when he would log on later that day. It was pretty funny, actually.
