I just want to know what problems other comic book reader experience while reading comics. For example: the ad, long word bubbles, etc.
What are some of the problems you have when reading a comic?
I hate DC's half-spread ads. It might even have been one of the reasons no post-Convergence titles made my pull list.
Im lazy so lots of wordy dialog really weighs a comic down for me.
Edit: I hate comics that try to be funny, but clearly arent, basically the Harley Quinn/Starfire creative team.
Whenever a character or something that can communicate with dialogue speaks undecipherable alien language that the companies couldn't bother to translate so it wastes space and speech bubbles. If I'm reading a comic im not interested in some random alien gibberish that serves no purpose other than showing that the language is alien.
*end of rant*
Bad art on a novel like dialoge. I don't mind a bit of reading, but bad artwork just makes it jarring
I hate the ads on the pages with panels, and comics with too many words. I also hate when the panels are too small and show so little that its hard to see what's going on.
When a story's combat art makes no sense. When you can't really tell what's happening from the art, it's almost like a cop out by the artist.
For instance, I read Darkhawk 1 and 2 recently and the art was really dissapointing. They blurred the action scenes and the panels just weren't making sense to me. If there were no narration or word bubbles I would have no idea who won the fight. It's a little like if an MMA photographer continually chose the wrong moment to take a picture so that he missed all the punches and kicks and only got the fighters staring at each other or laying on the ground.
@mrnoital: Good.
I advice you to find comics you`re more interested in. = P
Then again, maybe you delve in to them thoroughly. Doing so wears ME out.
I am its just like theres a character I never heard of before so I go on comic vine and then I see that I have notifications and then 20 minutes later I realize why I was even on the site.
I hate too much narration, when art doesn't really support the flow of a story, sideways art or when comics go like pages and pages without any dialogue. Some writers just don't know how to lay out a story and advance it as the story goes on. Story telling in itself is an artform.
Sometimes digital comics are a pain in the butt to read. Marvel's reader used to be horrible. Glad they fixed it.

The pacing sometimes, compared to say novels or such. You've to concentrate on appreciating both the art and writing without feeling like you're rushing either or making it drag on for yourself.
I've a feeling I'm the only one who is bothered by this :/
This. I rush way too often with dialogue and the book is over before I know it.
So you do read comics, always thought you were just a mod..... do you experience joy whilst reading comics? Do you experience joy in general... like ever?
Just messing around, you're just so.... serious, and earnest as a moderator.......... don't ban me :)
