Were the 90's better than the 2000's overall? You pick

even though the 90s gave birth to a lot of the trends we have now among teens, the 2000's gave birth to twitter, facebook, etc. so I can't have a decent conversation with anyone anymore because their checking to see who updated their status. so the 90s were better even though the movies were really bad( experimenting in CG) cartoon wise it was WAY better and kids were still kids

CGI crap aside, you still had epic movies like Tom Hank's movies (Forrest Gump, and Saving Private Ryan to name a few), Home Alone, Goodfellas; the 90's was the biggest decade of Jim Carrey's life! no question! Men in Black was awesome too. And who can forget the first Rush Hour? lol the 90's also had better black movies (not to be racist)

The 90s was a weird decade, this dont change it was more fun that the 2000s.

Sure people say they had better tehcnology, but technology dont make things better, besides the fact many of the so called advance thecnology is nothing more that a lie or just things made to look more modern.

People often wants to belive the millenium change was way bigger that it actually was, the 2000s are the new 60s and the 90s the new 50s.

People overrate the impact of the 60s and 2000s and the 50s and 90s gets underrate to overrate the next decade.

90's were way better then the 2000's, but then the 80's were way better then the 90's.

And the 70's were better than the 80's, and the 60's were better than the 70's and so on.

No not really, the 80's were the sweet spot. Unless you go all the way back to the 50's perhaps.

I voted for 2000's but that was based on comics alone. The fall of the Berlin wall did that there was a happier felling in the 90's believing everything would go better know even tough there was a war at the Balkans it was still good feeling that it would get better in the end. In the 2000's this changed because of 9/11two wars that did do much . Western societies beginning to monitoring there citizens even more, gives them less freedom and make it harder to travel.

I think the 90's kids are growing up better than the 00's kids.

2000-2010 was the best. Although the 90's were pretty good, I don't remember much because I was born in the late 90's and I was 5 when the 2000 area started.

It made this more obvious, but they did spy people before this, this only made things more obvious.

Also so far the 2010s are better that the 2000s.

I'd list the 90's in 3 sections: 1990 to 1993 is the early 90's, 1994 to 1996 are the mid 90's, and 1997 to 1999 are the late 90's.

Yes the do spy more. In Denmark all phone companies is by law now obligated to save all messages and phone calls so it can be used in court. Before it was only the police that with permission form the court that was allowed to do this. There has been made several laws to world wide to make ti easier for governments to monitor there citizens.

oh yeah. I totally blanked. those movies were great, especially Jim Carrey's movies. and no I don't think you are being racist. kids still talked in person, played with toys, etc. and the TV shows(live action) were still good and about values and stuff. when I thought movies I was thinking independence day and other CG bathed movies.

The 90's was the decade to be born in. I think for teen and adults the 90's was just another decade no big deal. But if you were a kid back then it was the best time of your life. The 00's I can only say that 2004 was the only memorable year from that decade.

I was born in '92 so I barely had 8 years to experience the 90's. Most of my connection to the decade is laced with fuzzy memories, and just being a kid. But, the 2000's is where I grew up so I gotta go with it.

Original programming came into full swing in 2000's, AMC FX shows, etc. Faster internet. But you just can't refer to the 00's in a cool way. And what are we in now the tween years? Gag me out the door

Sure the 90s were Pre-9/11 and censorship wasn't as big an issue but that doesn't mean that the culture was better.
