@jedixman: Evidently, I could go on, but the thing is they got every right to be jerks, some battles you can't win.

So just

i've actually never said anything like that...like in my entire 20 years of life I have never said anything like that. as I recall it was actually @innervenom123 who said that. so if you're gonna call me out for something I said.....maybe pick out something I actually said?

Dude, you don't need to @-reply me when I'm already here.

Anyway, you essentially did. We went over this.

I make it a point to smile at everyone. Everyone. Walking to school -- to the store -- anywhere. I wish everyone would take the time to smile at people, acknowledge each other's existence, say good morning, good afternoon, good evening. Takes nothing but makes the world in an instant become a nice, warm place.

Sometimes the saddest or most sullen-looking people are the ones with the most incredible smiles -- like sunshine. Getting them to show it by smiling first at them is one of the most pleasurable experiences in my life.

I wish everyone would smile more.

I try this as often as possible. It works most of the time. :P

@innervenom123: No. I actually didnt. Lol I never said anything like that. You are the one who coined the phrase. We may have been over this before but you were wrong about what I said then and you're still wrong

Excellent and reflective story, man. Especially for someone like me who as of recently has been loosing his patience and empathy towards the world.

God bless, man.

What part of...

essentially

...do you not understand, exactly?

Your argument was silly and I just decided to point out exactly how silly. Gay vampires. That carried over into this thread being silly.

Because you made it, and you are silly.

@innervenom123: .....so I was right I never said Hy you accused me of saying. I stand by my comments I made on that thread and this one. God bless you

#61 Posted by InnerVenom123 (29510 posts) - - Show Bio

@sog7dc: Oh, good. So it's the entire part of "Essentially" that you don't understand. Sweet.

#62 Posted by SOG7dc (7866 posts) - - Show Bio

@innervenom123: Ok the problem with that is that I didnt "essentially" say anything close to that. my comments were by in large about how to show Christian love to gay people. But you saw what you wanted to see and that apparently caused you to be angered with me when I have never done anything or spoken anything against you.

They were silly. That is my point. I've said it twice now, for your benefit. Your comment boiled down to "Be nice but WATCH OUT OR YOU'LL CATCH THEIR GAY HSSSSS" (Gay vampires.)

@innervenom123: If that's what youbtook from my comment then I'm sorry to hear that. God bless

Yep. It's sad that the second I read this my first reaction wasn't "that's a nice story" or "hopefully people smile" or whatever, but rather "someone will definitely make an issue out of the God thing". True enough, that happened.

Whether people believe in a god or not doesn't matter here, don't make it about that. The basic message here is to treat other people with respect, kindness, and love. We live in a cold world that keeps getting colder. People keep looking for ways of isolating themselves from other human beings. We're all we've got people. In the vastness of space, our alone radius extends to lengths unimaginable. It is downright silly that people don't treat each other as best they can.

Very well said!

@sog7dc: This is awesome I realized this one day too. Ever since then I've made an effort to be a nice person. It's not that easy, and you will slip but, I'm glad we have people like you.
