Wasted Characters

Their have been characters in fiction that have their potential completely snuffed out by the author. It could be either purposefully, on mistake, the result of being overshadowed by the main character, never reaching their full potential, being eliminated to soon in the story etc. Can you think of any wasted characters? They can be from movies, books, games etc.

Well, sometimes, the authors dont write Thing at his full potential, unfortunately. An' fer Rhino an' Killer Croc, this happens all the time. An' Juggernaut might SOMETIMES get a lil' poorly written, not too often I think but sometimes. Darkseid is also sometimes not written to his full potential. A whole bunch'a other characters too….

What the fack happened to Lobo since the DC Reboot ? I mean they torched that n!gga.

Tim Drake is being held back in his teen titans series. I feel like ClayFace could be the mystique of DC , but they always keep his potential low and make him a thug for hire .

Nah, Gai, Killer Bee, Gaara, Tsunade, Shikamaru an a few others got the spot light a few times.

Yoda... died at 900yrs old, but we only know in depth about the last 40ish. 80, if you're counting a more rough outlined view. A lot more Ground should be covered.

Also Avatar: last airbender has the potential to make a really dope movie and game but delivered poor of both.

Maybe it's just me but Soul-eater had the potential to be near the "big 3" but they ended it way too soon.

Uub and Goten. Gohan after they made him into a p---y instead of keeping him angry and strong like he should've been.

I watched the series when I was in first grade, but that was mostly for the fights. I didn't actually take in the story. Now I go to wikis for information. But from what I've heard Gohan was originally supposed to be more powerful than Goku

He was supposed to take over after Cell Saga. He was supposed to inherit Goku's title of the Earth's Greatest Defender. People lost their sh*t when Goku died though and they ended up bringing him back and Gohan sort of stagnated because of it.

And although it's been too short to tell thus far I hope Flash Thompson and Kaine don't fall into tertiary members of their respective teams. I hope.
