Honestly, I don't see a DBZ thread surpassing Thor vs Wonder Woman in amount of flaming.

Why haven't they just shut down the battle threads?

They're only going against other anime guys, so yeah it will go better.

They should unban it. I don't like DBZ but it's just right. Every fandom needs equality!

1. DB/Z/GT threads aren't completely unbanned. It's only in permitted in regards to DB/Z/GT vs. Anime/Manga.
2. This is a test that is going to last for a week, and depending on how it works, they could unban it again or extend it.

It's been shown time and time again DBZ will get banned again.

Flamewars and Shizstorms happen regardless of what the status of DBZ is and always will.

The only reason DBZ got got was because it's Manga, which is still a pretty lazy reason but technically it's not what CV endorses by the term "comic."

It's only a week. I think it is fair for the mods give the battles a trial period. They can always extend it out if things go well. They can also ban it again if things don't. DBZ threads could decay back to how they were but now people understand they are walking on thin ice.

Yes. Its not a big deal, and it seems to be going over ok as of now. I have seen one or two obvious trolls but even so they should be the people punished, not everybody else having civil discussions/debates.

Seriously though, I think its a smart idea. Most of the crap which comes from DBZ debates comes from putting DBZ characters against DC powerhouses.

If people want to debate DC/Marvel/Indie vs DBZ they have got CaV's for that. So I'm all for it.

As long as DBZ vs comic book characters stay banned, I'll be fine with it. That's where most of the flame war **** happens in those kinds of battle threads. The Vine can do without the likes of Death Battle Goku vs Superman rage ever again. And I have little interest in manga battles due to lack of interest and expertise on them so I'm fine with letting the rest of CV prove their attitudes in this experiment. If they do well they keep it and if they screw up the place, they have it taken away. Fair and square.
