Underrated movies?

[Excluding movies with comics origins]

Here's mine:

Boiler Room (2000) by Ben Younger

Many think it's another story about how people make inlegal money with actions, scams blah blah blah...

Belive it or not it's one of a niche movies that describes the psychology of humans to money. There are a s*it ton of movies that show people that like money and how they make it, but the don't show reasons. Money in most movies are shown as a final end, instead, here they are show as a transit to something. Anyone in the movie has different end points and use money to reach it.

Watch the movie once, then, after a week watch it again. You'll reconize yourself in the movie. Anyone will recognise themselves in the movie; even those on with "morals". In my opinion, the statement that is at the base of the movie is:

"It's easy to not do certain choices if nobody offered them to you."

Gattaca

It's my favorite movie and nobody I know really likes it :/

American Pie.

I might check it out.

How is that underrated? It's one of the most popular teen films of all time.

And the most underrated movie that I can think of right now is Burn After Reading - a Coen Brothers film no one really talks about. Or just a comedy in general that no one really talks about despite it being absolutely hilarious.

Mr. Nobody. I don't know another person that has seen that movie.

I have looked for this movie and cannot find it.

It's on Netflix. That's the only place I have seen it.

Most marvel movies

Miracle In Cell No. 7 and The Classic.

Both bittersweet Korean films.

Snowpiercer is one of my favorite films that not a lot of people know about. I also have to say Dredd.

This movie (Halloween 3: Season Of The Witch) was panned and spit on by almost every Halloween fan when it was released, but not because it was a bad horror movie for its time, but because Michael Myers wasn't in it and it had no connection to the first two movies.

I will be the first to admit I watch the Halloween movies pretty much just to see Michael do his thing, and when I was young I would actually refuse to watch this movie because I knew he wasn't in it and it had nothing to do with him. I eventually gave it a chance when I got older and really liked it! Its a solid horror movie. I personally believe had they just released this movie as "Season Of The Witch" and didn't attach the Halloween name to it, it would have been well received when it came out but because it was Halloween 3 and had no Michael Myers in it people were (understandably) upset. I honestly don't know why people were expecting him in it anyway, the tagline is "The Night Nobody Came Home", and any Halloween fan worth their salt knows that the tagline for the first movie is "The Night HE came home" and knows that HE is Michael, and should have been able to connect the dots lol

Anyway. Yes, I would have preferred Halloween 3 be another movie with Michael in it but if people could just get over the fact that this is a stand alone movie separated from the rest and give it a chance, they might like it! I love it, its a fun, silly, and very entertaining horror movie that I think most people should give a chance if they haven't already.
