So, who's the toughest fictional character that you could take in a fight?
Toughest fictional character you could take in a fight?
Bruce Wayne, without armor or gadgets, while sleeping. I, however, am in possession of a pistol.
alfred would snap your neck before.

Maybe I've already killed him.

Uncle Ben after being shot
Kitted up, I might be able to harass some of the low low street guys.
I'm thinking without PIS I could maybe take down a Robin. I don't care if Batman trained you, going through puberty is a good idea to extend your life expectancy. Kids/teens make mistakes.

LOL, no, Nobodies beating robin. Its just not possible.
@robogeist: Without PIS Robin isn't half as tough as you'd think. Kids generally can't take punches from adults or outmuscle them and they do make mistakes. Think of all the reckless things teens do. They treat life like a video game.
I've been in shootouts, know my equipment and have the training to take people down. If Robin gets plot on his side, I lose. If not he isn't coming at me with boomerangs and beating my M-4. He'll do a few cartwheels and get shot.
I'm giving guys like Batman the benefit of the doubt with more realistic tactics and such. I'm looking at him as Seal level and I'd never even see those guys coming. But a kid in bright jammies who I am prepped for? I think I could do it.

It's called comics, not PIS. Robin fights grown ups all the time.

Or he will dodge bullets accordingly like he always does.

Doubtful, Robin is super skilled, agile, and fast. Comics > Real Life
Plank
@robogeist: *Sigh* People expect that certain elements of comics have verisimilitude. Batman isn't going wake up tomorrow and sneeze and cause Gotham to explode. If he jumps off of a rooftop he will be effected by gravity and fall, stuff like that. If you put Batman in the real world he would have to never get caught slipping because odds are better then not he would die.
If you took a kid, had him train with the best fighters in the world and had him take on even a mid level adult, that kid loses short of a fluke. 9/10 said adult bests him. Now let me take it a step further. Robin cannot dodge bullets moving at 800 meters per second. He can dodge the aim of shooters, but lets be honest. Average shooter in a comic is akin to somebody who has never fired a weapon. They are idiots for sake of the story.
Pulling Robin into the real world, and pitting him against somebody who is an adult, has trained and been in combat, has better equipment (rifle and optics vs boomerangs and such) and training to use them (designated marksman) should probably win, plot withstanding.
Many of your favorite heroes either radically change their methods of operation or die. In a world where the police are not inept, the bad guys don't monologue when they have you beat and where real world physics are in play (and they are if we're crossing over. My mutant power is a PIS removing field) then I think I could take Robin.
As it is, this is a goofy lil' thread. Calm down, have fun. Tell us what A-C lister you can take.
@jedixman: Why would you want a big distance if you have a sword. You'd be giving them a head start to get away.

Didn't say I wanted a big starting distance. Ten feet is sufficient. Closer might not be good, and any farther would be trouble if the other has ranged weapons. But I can clear ten feet with a good strike.
@jedixman: I can dig it. I'd pay to watch you run a Kickass gauntlet. I know your dislike runs deep.

Slice and dice, man.
It'd be fun.
