The Sandlot, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Space Jam, Batman & Robin, Mulan. They pretty much defined my time in the single digits.

I would have a hard time arguing that point ;) Jackie and Chris had fantastic chemistry together! The action and the humour can't be replicated!

Although, I still greatly enjoyed the second and third film!

  • Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (it was Warriors of the Wind when I was a wee lad)
  • The Last Unicorn
  • The Dark Crystal
  • Transformers the Movie
  • Inner Space / Gremlins 2 / Beetlejuice / Ghostbusters 1 & 2 / Willow

It's hard to narrow it down to just 5 films. I devoured movies as a kid but these were the ones that I watched so many times I remember breaking the VHS/Betamax tapes (when the tape would unravel/tangle in the machine). I still have the VHS tapes of Warriors of the Wind (Nausicaa), The Last Unicorn, and Transformers actually. Those three films were so major as a kid...they flipped my world around. And they've held up to time. Still great films today.

@joshmightbe: Ah, I see. I probably would have discarded breasts if I saw them at a young age. I saw RoboCop when I was young and I didn't even remember seeing boobies until I re-watched it a few years ago.

@cattlebattle: More like months ago, and I think I read Buzzfeed's one. Doesn't make the point any less valid or funny.

Forgive me, I'll be sure to cite the source of every little bit of information I've obtained from elsewhere from now on.
