Toonami Respect Thread

A week has past since the end of Toonami.

I was watching this block from the start when I was 9. It introduce some of the best Animes and even some classics before they moved to Boomerang. A balance of new form of action with some golden oldies.  It was one of things that I look forward to after school. It was very moderate, something that dark not scary. Something that was fresh at the time. I think  that's was the problem after Year 10, it got too light and gimmicy; not mention at primetime lineup instead of After School. I will miss it.

Ronin Warriors

I miss the old classic Toonami.  The newer version was not up to scratch.

Toonami gave us Dragonball Z  all week, can you imagine how long ti would have taken if they shown each episode week by week? Cn hardly does that anymore. But at least Naruto we get 2 a week, but the same can't be said for Bleach.

Rurouni Kenshin, Big O, Astro Boy, Gigantor, Cyborg 009, the DBZ flock of movies, Gundam Wing....Toonami was a classic....

Shame that almost every other anime on Cartoon Network just stops in the middle of things, like One Piece and Zatch Bell. I wish I could find more of Rave Master in English.

He SO deserves a new series, a reboot. Not like that New George of the Jungle, more like the newer  He-Man series. Come to think of it, alot CN's old shows, from the 60 or up the early 90s, can make great comics. I would totally buy a SWAT Kat comics, or even Captian Planet. I'll start new thread about this in short while.

My favs were ronin Warriors and anything Gundam at that time.

I havnt watched toonami really since they took off Yuyu Hakusho

It would have been great Toonami would have aired some the earlier animes from 70s, 80s, and early 90s that haven't translated into English, like Dragon Quest or they could have continued CN's other animes like Knights of the Zodiac,  Case Closed, or the last season of Sailor Moon.
