Poll Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt? (10 votes)

Who's the better actor?
Tom Cruise. It's close though. Pitt's best performances are on par with Cruise's best but Cruise is more consistent IMO.

he ain't never lie
Cruise uses the same techniques in every role, over and over.
Pitt is way better. More range as an actor.
Brad Pitt. Tom Cruise is overrated.
Tom Cruise can't act for shite. Pitt easily.
I like Pitt better here too, but that's kinda stretching isn't. You didn't think Cruise was good in "A Few Good Men", "Rain Man", "Interview with the Vampire", "Collateral" or "The Last Samurai"?
I'm not sure but as a person neither win. Well actually it's really depends on Brad Pitt...
Talent talk? Brad Pitt.
there ya' go
Not even close. I never fell for that talk a couple years ago that Tom Cruise sucks. That stems from his personal choices in life but his acting is on par with anyone who's at the long career he has had.
Brad PItt is a creative actor who picks great roles to act. He has the better look for an actor than Tom Cruise but he doesn't have the passion of a Tom Cruise. Both can do serious and dramatic roles. Cruise was better in Interview with a Vampire.
Tom Cruise should have won an Oscar for a few of his roles already and it's ashame he may never get one now. Collateral, Born on The 4th of July, Magnolia, Tropic Thunder, Jerry Maguire.
It is.
Brad Pitt almost NEVER turns in a bad performance, an underrated/under-appreciated one maybe, but never bad. Tom Cruise has a few great performances in The Last Samurai, Top Gun, Born on the Fourth of July and A Few Good Men, but overall, he's a so-so actor at best. I can name PLENTY of actors who get FAR less work (The late Edward Woodward, Hayden Christensen, Michael C. Hall, Mark Bazeley, Lon Chaney Jr., Brendan Fletcher, Angela Bettis, Alexandra Holden, Michael Weston, Austin Pendleton, Eric Schaeffer, Katherine Isabelle) and are FAAAAAAAR better actors overall.
Brad Pitt was Det. David Mills and Tyler Durden but was thoroughly overshadowed as Louis by Tom Cruise's Lestat so it's kind of hard to choose.
Pitt for being the greatest movie of all time, Se7en.
@shazam117: The hype for the Mission Impossible movies just.. annoying. He's not a BAD actor. He's just not as great as people hype him up to be. The same could be sad about Pitt, but I just prefer Pitt more.
This is all subjective my friend.

Isn't Brad Pitt in Interview with a Vampire also?
