Thoughts on Kpop

Me and my sister talk all the time about what the western world would think about kpop. We also talk about how well they'll do in the U.S. but I've noticed we kind of have a bias opinion because I like kpop, she's in love with it, and the people we get our information from are also in love with kpop. But I want the opinions of people who aren't in love with kpop. Also I've wondered for the longest time what you dudes think about kpop. So what's your thought on Kpop d?_?b

G-Dragon is kind of cool. My friend who's adopted from Korea realy digs him.

But OMG I loved Gangnam Style when it came out. I never understood people that claim to hate it. Its a pop song; its suppossed to be catchy and annoying.

Well, I like some KPop groups, but I'm not really in love with it. Sure, Psy's Gangnam Style was a huge success in a worldwide scale, but I don't think his success is enough to really open the western world to this type of music. Yes, there are lots of fans of the genre, but not much compared to fans of western pop music. I don't think we will see more huge KPop success on the western world very often. And about dudes liking KPop, I really don't see anything wrong with it. It's just pop music, but in other language, nothing more thatn that. I know lots of guys who are fans of it, including guys that are fans of KPop boybands like Super Junior, Big Bang and SHINee.

Shoot thats me, I like kpop and I'm not gay or anything like that. But what you said might sadden my sister alittle, she was really hope Psy's hit would do a Beatles like scenario and their be a Kpop Invasion.

Ditto man. It's all generic in my opinion. They also just blindly follow whatever is popular on the media/trending (applies to both artists and their audiences).

Right now its Gangnam Style and complimenting the audience (Rihanna chanting you're diamonds in the sky and Katy Perry saying be like fireworks).

Yeah they all just fads and will die out and be later replaced with other fads.

I would rather listen to Rihanna and Justin Bieber on the radio over anything KPop on any given day. I hate KPop THAT much. Same goes for Dubstep and Country.

I honestly think that if the Kpop girl bands aren't good looking people wouldn't give a **** about them.

As somebody who doesn't listen to K-pop, nor familiar with any artists other than Psy, I can't say. My exposure is extremely limited, but I'm willing to hear suggestions.
