Thoughts on Darksiders II?

I have always been interested in the Darksiders series, but never bought either of the games. I just found out that Darksiders II has been released for free with Xbox Live Gold and decided to get it. So i'm here asking how do you guys feel about the game. Was it good? Bad? Better or worse than the first one? Never heard of it? Well, just leave a response my homies

I think its a great game. Its a hack n slash genre and is a pretty brutal one at that. I think one of the highlights is the narrative and the music score. You may get stuck on a few puzzles, but the stress isn't overwhelming.

@chaos911: Alot of people like it just as much if not better than the first. A few new features and Death is more popular than war so people automatically enjoy playing as him more. Both are worth buying imo.

Darksiders is one of my favorite series, and I thought the original was a classic.

However, the sequel trumped it in basically every way besides the story.

The gameplay, voice acting, graphics, setting, etc. were all far superior, and Death is somuch better than War it's not even funny.

And while the gameplay could have definitely been fleshed out a bit more, it wasn't bad by any means. It just didn't have any surprises through out the entire game, and when you reach the end you're pretty much like "Yeah, that was awesome, and I totally knew all that was coming!" However, it's a hack and slash game, what do you expect? I don't really think some deep, intellectual plot was what they were going for, like many hack and slash games.

Overall, it's an amazing game, and I assure you that you won't regret playing it unless you're one of those guys who can't handle a story that doesn't have an Inception-level plot.

I thought it was really fun but mine was riddled with bugs.

Darksiders is awesome on so many levels, the first game was cool but II was way better, plus Mark Hamill returns for voice acting and hes really darn good at it. Either way buy them both!! Hopefully they make a 3 one, considering there are 4 horseman of the apocalypse.
