BOOM!
THIS IS NOT A DRILL: Fallout 4 Announced! (Trailer)
@silverpool: The Hype Is Real!
With this and Mad Max I wonder if post-apocalypse fiction will jump in popularity for a while.
Has a location been confirmed?
The leaks suggest Boston but nothing officially announced

I hope its not another North East City.

I kinda wanted LA

Yeah, that would be cool.

I mean that place is already pretty close to Fallout anyway lol
But I don't have a next gen system! F*CK!

LA was in the original Falllout, if anyone is doing the Boneyard again, it'd be Obsidian, not Bethesda.
@beaconofstrength: Are you one of those Fallout 3 haters that hang out on No Mutants Allowed?
But I don't have a next gen system! F*CK!
@notatreeabush: Don't hate it, but Obsidian needs to handle Fallout; New Vegas was perfect. I haven't had that much fun with a Fallout game since Fallout 2.
@beaconofstrength: Fallout 2 is the funnest, I admit. Banging Bishop's wife and daughter and having to sneak out because I didn't know I needed permission to enter his home was great.
@notatreeabush: Like, Fallout 3 wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, but New Vegas hit the dials perfectly. It felt like one of the most Fallout-ish games ever, even though the setting was extremely different than the rest of the franchise.
New Vegas is undoubtedly the finest Fallout game to hit the gamers community. It was perfect in everything, the music was spot on, graphics were great, the setting took my breath away, the guns and gear were fantastic, the side quests were phenomenal. It gets a perfect 10/10 in my book.

It's neighbouring the Fallout 1/2 region and contains many factions and references to it. It wasn't as out of nowhere compared to 3's East Coast setting whose BOS and Enclave were the only connections to the rest of the franchise.
@beaconofstrength: I actually prefer FO3 over NV, but to each his own. But when it comes to Fallout, PC MASTER RACE! Fallout 3 ran fine on my Xbox in 2008, but when I got the GOTY version on PS3 in 2011 it froze more than a d*ck in a blizzard. New Vegas has the advantage in mods though.
@rd189: I've hugged Fallout more than my dad has hugged me. I haven't hugged Fallout.
Loved Fallout 3 and New Vegas. This sh*t made my f**king day.
Personally hoping for a more urbanized landscape. If they do Boston, as rumored, that'd be really cool.
But I don't have a next gen system! F*CK!
It may be announced but it won't b released until Christmas at the earliest and most likely some time next year.
Not satisfied until Half Life 3 is announced.

I thought this was a game about mutants. I thought wrong.

You were able to be a porn fluffer in Fallout 2 iirc as well.
I kind of hope they are doing Boston having been there far more than any other major us city and a person favorite. Though I am curious as to how they would make the world seeing as how Boston is basically town, city and farm/Forrest around until the next city. There also isn't a ton of things that Boston is universally known for besides accents and clam chowder.

You could also roleplay as a slave that can only communicate with their body at the Cat's Claw or whatever it's called

In the Fallout universe, there's a faction called "The Institute" (based on MIT) that is a sort of science-based nation that uses androids as slaves. They'd also probably do some sort of Neo-American war of independence based factions, quests and stuff as well considering the area has a lot of 18th century architecture and history.
