They found a way to fix and we can continue the series. Who's happy?
They fixed Percy Jackson!
He's still a rip-off! jk
1) Anabeth is now blond
2) The prophecy is finally spoken about
3) Ares's daughter is here.
@the_stegman: idk, I found the Percy Jackson series to be so much better. Maybe because it's a little more "modern." In the fifth book, things get crazy.
I haven't even started the new series though.
@the_stegman: Harry Potter made me fall asleep on my bed, PJ at least made me pull all-nighters to finish through half the book.
@cybrilious4: Don't rage on me for telling the truth. (Lol,jk here too.)

See, it was the opposite for me, It takes me weeks to read Percy Jackson, I keep putting it down and doing other things, Harry Potter on the other hand is the only book I've sat down and read all the way through in one sitting.

Yeah, it's been taking awhile for me to read them, I'll try reading faster just to get to the new series, but I just found HP more interesting and funnier, also, I like third person narratives more than first person.
@demolitionguy: Yeah, only non-book readers would think lightning Thief was a hit.
@cybrilious4: Would you kill me if I said I've never read the books?
It still looks terrible and cheesy. Same bad jokes/puns as the original, most of the original's terrible cast, most of it's bad fight scenes and effects. Here are a list of films from 2010 which were FAR more deserving of a prequel or spinoff than this pile of tripe.
- The Wolfman
- The Book of Eli
- Devil (Sue me)
- Tangled
- Daybreakers
- Let The Right One In
All these movies ranged from good to flat out masterpieces. It's just a testament to how much Hollywood cares about money that THIS hideous thing is getting a sequel.

Dude, Daybreakers were complete garbage, maybe the worst vampire movie ever made. And Wolfman was pretty awful as well.
Of course they care about money, that's really the major reasons movies get made. I don't see how anyone can hold it against them

Daybreakers was actually really good. If anything, it's only flaw was that it could've been so much better, but I won't hold that one against it. It took the vampire genre in a new direction that I thought was really unique and creative. And how could you say it was worse than 30 Days of Night, which turned vampires into mindless retard monsters, or From Dusk Till Dawn, which was a giant porn/gore-exploitation film disguised as a vampire flick? And how could you say it's worse than Twilight, need I say more? And as for The Wolfman, that movie was a masterpiece. Oscar worthy performances from Del Toro, Hopkins and Blunt, really smart themes and subliminal messages about the natural world and the civilized world and about cultural stereotypes of the time, really interesting characters, particularly the sympathetic Lawrence and the cold, complex Sir John, great references/tributes to Shakespearean classics, a smart script, a perfect ending that made me literally cry...Seriously, how could people find that movie awful?
Movie>book.
(Now I'll sit and wait for the haters.)
YEAH?! WELL THE HATE'S ARRIVED! No just kidding. This doesn't look half bad though the only thing that will make me actually see it is the presence of Nathan Fillion. God, I love that guy
