The Simpsons are kind of depressing - Off-Topic

I was reading this article on "Screwattack.com" and I realised how depressing the Simpson family is. I know they're using satirical comedy and it funny and all. But while I read the article and thought on it as I read it, it through me into depression alittle.

Used to be my favorite TV show in the 90's. Nowadays it is just boring. They should end the show a long time ago.

Funny that this thread was posted yesterday. Saw someone yesterday mention a show called Bob's Burgers that the person compared to The Simpsons. I really don't watch Simpsons though. Haven't in such a long time.

I've never found any of those things very depressing... I always thought most of those plot points were more of realistically dark parodies of their respected character developments.

Some episodes are still funny.

I've actually started watching The Simpson again about two seasons ago, and I gotta admit...they're funny again, as of the last two weeks, they've made me laugh more than any other of FOX's animated Sunday line up.
