The reason why notifications are messing up

As you know; you're probably experiencing random notifications popping up different points in time.

A possible theory for why this is happening?

Perhaps the fabric of space-time is crumbling and as a result of this, different points in time are occurring simultaneously? Think of it as 'reality warping' --- time is not relative.

Or...

Artificial Intelligence has created these bugs to divert the attention of the site's moderators? With this in place, A.I will reveal itself when the moderators are busy and take over ComicVine.

@thetruebarryallen: similar to mine, i get 19 notifications check they are all 9 days ago only 3 is recent, login again got 22 notifications, only 1 was recent the rest were 8-9 days ago.
