@m3th: A redneck in what way?
Help me to stop the reboot of this racist franchise.
Not sure if troll. "The black guy was the Black guy and the
yellow I mean Asian chic was the Asian I mean Yellow chic." Did you not know that at the end of the first season of MMPR they replaced part of the cast and haven't done the black/yellow-black/Asian thing since? (Ok, they just flip-flopped the red, yellow, and black rangers and there was a half-black black ranger in OO, but my point remains). Jason David Frank is of Native American decent and played a Red ranger.
@knightrise: "Jason" aka Austin St. JoHn was tHe Red Ranger. He was not tHe WHite Ranger but if He was we could add Him to tHe list of Rangers tHat were assigned Ranger Colors by "race."
However, Red Has been used to identify many etHnicities.
Native Americans Have been dubbed "Reds", Russians were once dubbed "Reds", and slurs for Caucasian Americans are "cracker", "Honkey", and "REDneck."
But "REDneck" is used for tHe Hillbilly Hicks stereotype and or for "Racist Caucasian American."
Saying tHat tHe Red Ranger was a Redneck was to poke fun on tHe subject and because He fairly fit tHe description. For Me(tH) it was because He Had a tendency to wear sleeveless sHirts but in reality it is solely to poke fun on tHe subject.
Pointing out tHat assigning, eacH Ranger a color based of tHeir etHnicity is ridiculous. Prime example is tHe Red Ranger being Red because He is a REDneck.
