That is one of those games that you give up on life upon playing it like Skyrim.
Couldn't say it better myself. An editor/toolkit which you can use to create death match, heist, racing map? And a community that can share and use each other's map. A free roam, online, 8 players gameplay experience?
P.S. One question: can players shoot while they're driving, like having one passenger stick their head out of car window and shoot the cars behind them?
Anyway, basically I'd have to tune myself out. It's either GTA V or Rome II: Total War, I can only have 1 game in my life.

To answer your question, yes you can shoot while you are driving, but only the enemies that are ahead of you. It has been significantly improved from GTA IV in almost every aspect.
If I can give you a advice: I haven't heard good things at all about Rome II: Total War. Its very buggy and some say the AI is incomplete. Heard so many complaints about it (I never played any of these games however). You are probably safer with GTA V.
Keep flagging things on accident.
I flagged one by accident yesterday. I was trying to add someone to my friendlist.

I'm glad I didn't preordered Rome II, that's what I get out of those negative reviews. But the new Line-of-Sight system allows real ambushes and hiding units. If I end up having to choose one game, it'd be Rome II, but given its current issues, I would have to wait awhile.
For now, I'm following channels that're doing online battles.
Can't shoot the cars behind you isn't bad, Twisted Metal also doesn't allow players to shoot the opponents behind them.
