In general, sitcoms suck. Especially family sitcoms. Especially early 2000s sitcoms. Only, Drake & Josh didn't suck. In fact, it rocked. So much that I'm making this D&J respect thread! :)

But yeah, official thread to post D&J videos, talk about the show, Nickelodeon's current state, e.t.c. :)

@spideyivydaredevilfan26: My cousins liked this should but I from the generation ahead of it, so naturally I can't like this show.

This show rocks! Remember when both were on The Amanda Show. Miranda Cosgrove was so young on Drake & Josh. =O Crazy Steve's my favorite!

Anyone remember the 90's. It's kind of like Josh became Keenan and Drake became Kell.

Clearly someone never seen everybody loves raymond or king of queens

Oh wow, I still remember this show. It wasn't bad for a Nickelodeon sitcom, very enjoyable as a kid, with likeable leads.

Yeah I agree always looked at it as another Keenan and Kel but still like Drake and Josh. Mostly the older episodes though.

Before Community I knew Yvette Nicole Brown on here as the manager of the movie theater.

Yeah, Jerry Trainor is a great actor and comedian, I really hope that he moves beyond Nickelodeon and get's a string of adult comedies. Crazy Steve is one of my fave characters on TV.

Hehe! I haven't watched it but think he was on iCarly with Miranda Cosgrove? =O Glad after Drake and Josh ended that they kept Crazy Steve's actor.

Yeah he is. And to be fair, I actually think iCarly's a good show. It's not great or anything, certainly not as good as Drake & Josh, but it was a good show. Jennette McCurdy was a great actress/comedian (And BTW also my casting choice for Terra in a Teen Titans movie. Which reminds me that I casted Miranda Cosgrove as Starfire.) My only downside was that I feel it was a little unrealistic (It took the AVGN like a year to get popular, yet Carly's web show is popular in like 2 days? 0_0) and the Fred episode. GOD I hate Fred.

@spideyivydaredevilfan26: Almost forgot about Fred! xD I think at one point he was the most subscribed Youtube channel.

The only solace I find in that is that AVGN is getting a movie soon.

I think it's coming out in late 2013/2014, but maybe James is just busting our balls/ovaries/whatever I'm getting weird.

But things like Dragonball and My Little Pony have sprawling, immense fanbases on the internet.

Not so much Drake & Josh.

I was watching Drake & Josh today and I realized a sexual refrence.

But isn't ironic that after years or so I finally watch Drake & Josh and when I come on comicvine I see it again? Lol

For sure, but they had to do with the scene --- like exploding popcorn etc. But shows like Hannah Montana had them yelling all the freaking time -- as in normal conversation. Yelling does not a good actor make.

Nothing Nick puts out will ever top The Adventures of Pete & Pete. Hell, or Salute your Shorts for that matter.

#42 Posted by YourNeighborhoodComicGeek (20120 posts) - - Show Bio

It was a good show considering right after it stopped airing Nick started going downhill.

Disagree in saying sitcoms suck.

But Drake & Josh was classic.

Helen was the best. So sweet rude yet so sweet...

Did it ever bug anyone that one episode where they replaced Helens actor? True fans will know the one.

Otherwise, best. Show. Ever.

That was in the early seasons, That was back when the Helen we know wasn't used yet.

@jnr6lil: Really? I thought the established Helen had been used by then. My mistake then lol.

I enjoyed this show, but it's also because of this show that I can never take Josh Peck seriously as an actor in other, more serious, roles.
