@joewell: Don't want to get into these arguments though... I haven't watched AVGN in ages even when he returned from his movie hiatus. And I already go on record saying the Nostalgia Critic was getting unwatchable and insufferable. Its good to see him retire while he still on top.
@ApatheticAvenger: He is just okay really. Some of his episodes are really great such the Gross-Out, Sleepway Camp I and Guyana Cult of the Damned but others are pretty boring or forgettable such as The Erotic Adventures of Dickman and Throbbrin (other than the intro where he makes fun of Nolan's fans for not liking TDKR, its a really dull episode that didn't need to be made). He is hit or miss for me.
@ApatheticAvenger: I see. I like Brad Jones's review style too though we don't share the same taste. I just wonder why you visit TGWTG.com if he and Spoony has their own websites...
I never really watched his reviews, and I heard he can be a bit biased at times.
@ApatheticAvenger: Well now that he is retired, there isn't much reason to visit the site. I only go there for Film Brain, I couldn't care less about the others. Linkara and Spoony in other hand I could pretty much look up in their own websites.
@YourNeighborhoodComicGeek: Yes, its his gimmick in fact. He reviews 80-90s movies ripping them apart for inconsequential errors. Its nitpicking for laughs really.
I pretty much only watch serious ones like Armchair Directors.
The show got stale long ago, so this was the right move.
It's a weird feeling to see NC go, though.

Hopefully his next show will be good too.
Probably won't be bro.

I'm kind of happy to see this. Critic got old a very long time ago, and the material was getting repetitive. So it's good to see him move onto other characters.
It hasn't been that good this year. It got boring, and I for one dislike guest star episodes (which NC has had a lot of lately).
Bum Reviews are still funny, though.

I remember him.
lol
Doug's Nostalgia Critic reviews have been slipping in quality for a good while, so I think it's good that he's hanging it up before he completely jumps the shark.
Plinkett and Yahtzee are the only internet critics that I really pay attention to anymore.

Pretty much, but I disagree for the "jump the shark" part, I think he completely jumped the shark with the Temple of Doom review. And seems like he is aware of that.

I didn't know about his Temple of Doom review so I just watched a little bit of it.
Yep, shark jumped.

Zero Punctuation is hilarious.
