The most OVERRATED Characters by the FANS in your opinion?

So who do you guys/girls think?

This can be any fictional character from comics, tv, movies, cartoons, vid games whatever.

Pretty much, not who you think is overrated character but rather who you feel the FANS overhype the most? Just the fans in general, could be from your experiences on here, and outside of here. From my experiences from people on the internet, my comic book shop and off topic generally speaking.

Some battle topics that I just read, won't even post in that are just crazy well you know how they can be lol. But I saw one topic with Superman, Avengers, JL and Doomsday vs Thanos(no power amps) and people actually thought Thanos would win. The guy's impressive but not THAT impressive, Doomsday would give him serious issues head on fight.

Honestly I don't think that many characters are overrated, I do feel their is a lot being lowballed and underrated.

My List is as Follows....

1.Shang Chi-Alot of people think he's the fighter in the Marvel Universe despite the massive lack of tha to support that..

2.Thor-His fans often try to argue with his loses or suggest that Marvel doesn't like him even when there is a valid ekplanation as to why he lost as well as it being completely obvious Marvel has a special interest in the character..

3.Gladiator-despite his lack of feats and with so little appearances, people still think they can say who he is and is not stronger than for certain. They also overlook the fact that he's defeated almost nobody in his actual strength class..

4.Storm-A great character that is consistently put on an unnecessary pedestal on this website with some gross over-exaggerations of her abilities and her worth to Marvel as a company.

So you just state characters u don't like? U don't have a discussion or reason for it...ok seems to me you just hate most of gone really popular ones for the sake of it! A lot of them are popular for a reason, generally good writing, which doesn't meant unpopular ones aren't written well! I know people will probably cry about this but who cares I won't reply! Have fun missing out on some great stories cos you hate shit for no reason dicks!

Hmmm, my opinion, Aquaman and Deadpool.

Yes and no. In this chase where it is about overhyped characters that people are hyping very much it can really be an unpopular character or an obscure one. If the character is uncommon it is very likely not overrated. Second even if the character is fairly common it needs to get a lot of positive boost so titles/characters that don't get this can't real be overrated. Then of cause it would be a subjective term to declare who is and who isn't but you can aim to be OBJECTIVE and see who gets the a lot of boost where some maybe could get more.

Therefore I will say that Iron Man aren't getting a lot of boost or love maybe he gets it outside of comics due to the movies but as a character in comics he seems to be pretty hated especially here on comic vine (mainly because of Civil War). His book aren't selling that great people at the moment aren't hyping the title (it should be pretty bad from what I have heard). So to say it is to hyped I have hard time understanding.

Batman and Superman is at the moment one that has so many books out at least some of their books gets fairly bad judge however this hype seems to be from DC rather than the fans since they are releasing more books than needed/have a good quality. Plus that the hype they get are from their general icon status and not because of some bad books. So if they are overhyped really comes down to how you see the character and the hype.

@tupiaz: As for the Batman/Superman thing, if you mean over rated quality wise that is completely subjective since its completely based on the individuals opinion of the work. But as for popularity and sales those are two highly popular characters that while not always the number 1 seller have never really even seen the bottom of a sales list. Not to mention the fact that they are literally the most famous super heroes on Earth, in fact Superman is only less famous than major religious figures.
