Guess I will go with rats just for the sake of voting. Don't mind bats one bit but rats can carry disease.

Well I know for me its more to do with falling as opposed to actually been high up.I don't really like going near balconies because I get worried I will slip and fall.

@mrdecepticonleader: From what i've studied, not so actually. The only recognised natural fears are a fear of falling and a dear of lour noises, both deeply ingrained psychological conditions tied to survival instincts but enhanced during the trauma of childbirth. There you go :)
