this is funny as fuck
The Hip-Hop Thread
This song is great and the entire album (Finger Snaps & Gun Claps) is solid. All their stuff after this album is pretty sub par though.

listening to N.Y. state of mind right now.

Can't go wrong with Illmatic.
Ever hear Part 2?
Alright, guess I'll just ask it. Anyone here heard Hov's newest album?
Favorite tracks?
Also, am I the only one who wishes he had titled it 'Magna Carter'? xD
But it is titled that. I mean it's like saying I wish J.Cole titled his album Cole Wolrd. I like.... Ohhhh disregard. I agree I thought Magna Carta wasn't as good as title as Magna Carter.
I haven't heard the whole album but so far it sounds solid. 2 of my friends really like it. However, I heard Earl Sweatshirt truly doesn't.
WHICH leads me to the reason why I visited this page.
HAS ANYONE?
Listened to all the 5 albums that came out around the same time?
Yeezus
Watching Movies with the Sound OFF
Born Sinner
Magna Carta Holly Grail (MCHG)
The Gift
--------------------------------------------------------
I only heard Yeezus, and Born Sinner completely the rest only a few songs here and there. What order would you put them from Best to least great?

Kanye doesn't know how to manage GOOD Music
Almost no rapper is good at managing a record label. Luda is only good for one album after that, you disappear. GAME pssssst He's promised for years to artist like Ya Boy, Clyde Carson, COmpton Menace, Reggie P aka Blackboy and etc. Now where they at? I can keep going.
I think 50, and Jay are the most successful at managing their artists.

Has Pusha dropped yet? Cause he doesn't seem to be dropping over the next two months...
Is he getting the CyHi treatment now. Dafuq.
No he hasn't but he has the best chance of coming out. I believe he will. Big Sean was actually with GOOD Music for almost 5 years before he dropped his album. CyHi is barely going on 3 or 4.

Eminem set for Labor Day Release ?
I truly think he could wait a bit more even though my friends disagrees. I wonder what will be the next concept for "this" new album.

@yung_ancient_one: Not even. G-Unit are irrelevant.
& Jay-Z only has Cole who's big.
@jnr6lil: Name me another rap group that the mainstream/ general public know all of their names?
Can the general public name all the members of Wu-Tang? N.W.A.? Bone-Thugs? P$C(terrible name btw)? Saint Lounatics?
Most importantly can the general public name all of the main artists click?
Every single G-Unit member is solidified in Hip Hop as a solo act. Everyone even knows Tony Yayo who is albeit looked as a joke.
G-Unit is Game, Game is still popular. People still talk about 50 whether they want to admit it or not. Bank$ has a decent following and a solid fanbase in Hip Hop. Buck is locked up but even then people in Hip Hop were still talking about them.
When's the last time you heard someone talk about Young Dro, Yung Joc, G.Deph, Field Mob, Murphey Lee, Koniva, and I can keep going.
I also want to add Dr. Dre he's decent.
I said 50 and Jay because they established artists that are still fairly popular. Jay kind of got Ross...
I got to GO going to MEXICO
PEACE
everyone see yall in 3 weeks.

@yung_ancient_one: Game & 50 are the only album sellers out of G-Unit.
Some online rumors that Earl only did that to generate controversy and boost his sales but whatever. I'm looking forward to Doris - just heard Hive a few days ago and enjoyed it.
I've only heard Yeezus, MCHG, and Born Sinner. Yeezus was probably my favorite of the three, Born Sinner was alright, and honestly MCHG kinda lost its luster after a few listens.
@revamp: Yea, sht is dead.
Well it was dead...
Slime Flu 4 was Pretty Good...
Earl Sweatshirt's new album is eh, Interesting...
Vado man ya'll need to go back uptown with that one.
I love Let Nas down on Born Sinner
Yezzus was aight. Kinda lazy only having 10 tracks.
Kendrick Lamar is boring to me.
Anyone see this.
Interesting fact of the day: Grant Morrison listens to Tyler, the Creator
I am not surprised.
@nelomaxwell: You know I saw that sht right there.
Also, Nels! I haven't heard from you in AGES, what's up?

I've been becoming a better writer. Working on a new comic while writing reviews for indie comics on my blog. Job hunting also. How you been?
@nelomaxwell: Been pretty well, thanks lol.
@revamp: That's good , just found out Cozy was back on here. Looks like the bands getting back together.
Damn... Killah Priest released an Double Album with a total of 41 tracks on it. Wow, that's a lot of songs for an album... especially for an Independent Album that won't see that many sells. I mean I don't think a lot of people even know who Killah Priest is.

41 tracks? He needs to lend some of those to the Yezzus album so it has more than 30 mins worth of music on it.
