Now playing Arkham Knight PC.
The Gaming Thread
Fu*king console parity. The game runs like sh!t and the only settings are slightly better than the consoles. You need a titan x to even run gameworks enhancements which would make the game look better but Rocksteady fu*ked the game.
Other than that I'm enjoying the game.
@immortal777: I think Iorveth would have made much more sense concerning the political storyline and the Wild Hunt storyline.
I'm still wondering why Iorveth isn't even in the game. In fact, I'm a little upset that the Scoiatel are playing a minimal role in the story all together. They were on the forefront of the plot in the first two games.
yeah it kinda doesn't make sense considering what's going on
@immortal777: Firstly...f*ck you, I'm at work...over 6 and a half hours till I can play.
Secondly, you mind me asking what gpu you're running it on and what specs and fps you're getting?
I may have to sell my r9 290 and get a titan x...
@edamame: Yea Shao Kahns physicals are arguably above Shinnoks.
Shinnok was an Elder God though, the only one that was above them in the lore was the one being who consists of all the realms merged.
Onaga rivals the elder God's mainly because he is immune to all magic and Shao Kahn was his general. It's generally accepted that Raiden is above Shao but he rivals God's so they're comparable.
Shinnok is more powerful than both though, the newest game was just an incredibly poor entry in the series where story is regarded. It's not the first one with an awful story and it won't be the last.
@mrhamwallet: I've got the entire week off from work vacation and all to play *dances*.
I have a EVGA gtx 970 SSC, 8GB of Ram and I5 4690k and I can tell you right now the game runs like crap on AMD(that's what I'm hearing from AMD users on steam). I get 1080p fluctuating fps between 45-60 mostly 60(when it drops it drops) and stuttering with Gameworks off shadows on Med and everything else max. Even the 980ti Max setting(gameworks on) gets between 50-60 fps and it's just a Titan X with 6GB of video ram instead of 12GB.
If you were to upgrade, may I suggest getting a 980ti over the Titan X there's only like a 3 fps difference between the 2 gpus and the 980ti is much cheaper.
I'd like to add the game is also locked to 30 fps on PC so you gotta change that in the files.
@immortal777: God damn I hate you so much right now I'm basically foaming at the mouth. I'm gonna do an all nighter on Friday and that's the best time I have on it...might quit my job.
I have a 6 core i7 overclocked to 4.3ghz...can't remember the exact model atm, 16gb ram and the r9 290. Plays most on ultra at 60fps but I'm looking to upgrade the gpu at some point but I use it for rendering too so might go for two 780ti's instead. I'm undecided atm but I have a mate that I let decide all this for me, will take it into consideration though thanks.
Thanks for the heads up...and I just wanted to dive straight in :(
@mrhamwallet: It is great to have so much time to enjoy a new release.
@immortal777: Don't make me come over there...
Arkham Knight is getting slaughtered in reviews.
Which reviews? LOL.

Which reviews? LOL.
Just about every steam review. They're getting torn to sherds.
@beaconofstrength: I saw that the game has an overall 5/10 on Steam. Then, I read that there's issues with the PC version of the game.
I can't say the same for the console version, but good thing I'm waiting on this game.
@static_shock: Yeah, I'd rather just wait a year or so and wait for the complete edition for the game for $60, instead of $100.
@beaconofstrength: My thoughts exactly.
@edamame: Mmm probably not, Shinnok is mainly magic orientated to which Onaga is completely unaffected. Have you seen the intro to MK: Deception?
Eh...I hated the mkx story it was stoopid
@immortal777: =O
I didn't even know Deus Ex was at E3!
Very smart about staying away from here. I'll probably be doing the same when Phantom Pain's release date gets closer.
And I'll probably go on a complete blackout when FF XV releases.
But no worries, I won't spoil you. :)
Yeah! A full remake. Can you believe it? xD Only took Enix eighteen years, lol.
And I hope so as well. I'm sure a lot of people are gonna rage with even the slightest change with the remake, but I do hope it plays out like XV.
Tbh, I grew up with JRPGs, but I never was really found of the turn-based system. =/
So I personally love XV's battle system. It's fun and flows great.
Haha. I gave up with Type-0, honestly. xD Found it very difficult. Even with the leveling up cheat.
And you should seriously play FF IX if you can! It's a very charming game, and it's graphics still hold up well imo.
Hopped back in Final Fantasy XIV to finish Before the Fall storyline. Ready for Heavensward now.
Been watching a lot of Heavensward footage. Hoping to jump into XIV soon!
Can't believe how good XIV looks, honestly. Yoshi-P really outdid himself imo.
And I'm actually gonna be meeting up irl with that guy who I mentioned to you a few months ago...The one who runs the popular free company on the Cactuar server.
We should be meeting within the next few weeks, hopefully.
@darthaznable: LMAO @ the Steam interface. Nice!

I just started Heavensward this morning. I still have a number of dungeons to finish (Second Coil and Final Coil of Bahamut, Titan Ex, Ramuh Ex, Shiva Ex). But, so far, Heavensward is good. The ending to the Before the Fall storyline was pretty damn awesome, too.
@samimista: Deus Ex looks pretty fat in development so it should come out in Q1 or Q2.
@darthaznable: So the steam reviews were Scarecrows plan all along, he might just be the greatest villain of all time.
@jedixman: Dishonored is great fun, looking forward to the second one. I'd recommend spending a lot of runes on slow time and blink as they're fun to use together. The swarm of rats is nasty but really helpful if you upgrade it too.
I bought Dishonored during the Steam Summer Sale. I've always wanted to play it, but the E3 trailer for Dishonored 2 gave me that extra push.
So far, I'm loving it. I might even do a review when I'm finished.
Such a fun game, I love the world and the great gameplay mechanics. The lore actually gets super deep if you find everything in that game. Have you watched the crazy scenarios people do with blink, possession, slow time ect on youtube?
Arkham Knight's PC fudge up got them so many bad user reviews that they're lower than Hannah Montanna.
LOL.

HELL YEAH! Guess who's playable in Batman: Arkham Knight??
Holy sh!t....
@jonny_anonymous: haven't got the game yet, but are you able to play as other characters in the regular edition of the game?
@static_shock: I know right? Also you don't need to censor the word shit anymore.

So far Nightwing and Catwoman as tag partners.
@static_shock: I know right? Also you don't need to censor the word shit anymore.
I'll take your word for it.
So far playing as Thomas Lane isn't really all that great, he fights exactly like Batman making him a skin.
I don't put too much stock into critical reviews that much, but my homies at work and from school tried to tell me that Batman: Arkham Knight would get better reviews that Witcher 3 across all platforms.
I just laughed when the results came back.
I got into the Battlefront closed alpha ........yay.
Damn. I didn't get in.

Damn. I didn't get in.
EA sent me an email asking to join couple of hours ago and immediately after signing up, I got into the alpha, that was the fastest I've ever got into beta /alpha.
@immortal777: I hope it's good.
@legendary_starhero: I hope it's good, the alpha is on July 2nd and I luckily don't have work that day.
@immortal777: There a lot people already hating on this game. I just hope that this alpha/beta doesn't make it worst.
I just got a 3DS, is the 3DS version of super Smash worth it? Or should I just get a Wii U and that version?
I thought about getting the 3DS for Smash Bros, but I opted to get the Wii U for that game, instead.
@legendary_starhero: I don't see what there is to hate about BF 3, the game looks pretty good to me and I'm not a shooter fan.
@immortal777: I think people have high expectations of the game.

It's looks awesome, but it appears as if Battlefield is its framework or something. Or, maybe that's just how DICE makes their shooters... I don't know.
Speaking of Battlefield, is anyone experiencing laggy matches on the Xbox One version of Hardline? My brother's been having issues with lag for quite a while, and I know my internet connection is on point (it is for every other game).
@immortal777: Personally I think it looks good but at the same time looks like a big let down. It seems like it's just EA breaking down what should be part of the game and selling it as lots of dlc packs.
There should be a lot more heroes, maps etc. Space battles should still be in it and there's not half as many game modes as before...it looks fun but disappointing.
