@samimista: D: No I didn't hear that! Did he say why he left? I thought FFXV was his big passion project?
Yeah I was confused with the girl in the trailer. She doesn't look like Stella and he someone called Luna was mentioned but if so then where the hell is Stella??

Yeah, did you see the Type-0 trailer as well?
I'm not sure if he gave a reason, but here's what a CEO said:
In reviewing our development structure, we have decided to assign Hajime Tabata as the new director for Final Fantasy XV. Currently, Tabata and the entire development team are working, whole-heartedly, towards completing the production of Final Fantasy XV and ensuring the delivery of the highest quality Final Fantasy title to date. We invite every one of our fans to view the fruits of our labor through Final Fantasy XV's demo, and promise to present a game that further surpasses expectations when the finished product is released.
As the director of Final Fantasy XV, Tetsuya Nomura has mainly worked on the original concept for the story and universe in addition to creating the characters. Hereafter, he will be focusing his efforts on the production of titles that can only be made possible by Nomura, himself, and delivering products that exceed the quality of past titles, starting with another one of his representative projects, Kingdom Hearts III. Square Enix will continue to work on these titles with the best staff formation in an effort to deliver them to everyone as soon as possible and appreciates your continued support.
Not gonna lie, while I'm pumped for XV, I am curious what goes on behind the scenes. Versus XIII/XV was Nomura's idea so it is rather sad he's giving it up. I'm just hoping Enix gives him credit where it's due considering Nomura was heavily involved with the plot and character designs.
But the way I look at it, least it's not Toriyama directing it. Crisis Core was great and Type-0 (from what I heard on the latter). So it's nice having Tabata!
I just hope Nomura-San has no health problems. Have looked up to him and Kojima-San greatly.
Good question. Someone on NeoGAF posted this as well:
Maybe sisters? 0.o I mean, it could be a redesign, but I dunno why Stella's name would be change...I don't really like using the name Luna considering it sounds a lot like Yuna.
Next week we're supposed to get a major FF XV interview so I'm hoping somebody asks about Luna. Maybe Luna was even referring to the black haired girl from last year.
I have! Never played Type-0 so pumped it's getting localized! =) Funny how it was officially announced like two or three days after the fan translation was released. XD It seems to be a lot of characters?
You gonna get it? =O
@theamazingspidey - Oh wow! xD I had no idea about not meeting Quiet hehe. I guess I will have to use a guide for that. I'd like to have her onboard. =)
@samimista: Yeah that really saddens me :- \ I hope the games don't suffer for it.
Huh I never even put the Luna/Moon/Stella/Star connection together. That's a kinda cool connection but it still kinda annoys me if there is going to be love triangles and stuff. I was kinda hoping it would just be Nox and Stella working out there complicated stuff rather than have possibly a sister involved as well.
Hopefully we get some info in the interviews but knowing what Enix are like we probably won't lol
I will defo be getting it. It looks great and I loved Crisis Core but I wonder with all those characters what they're development will be like.
@samimista: I saw the new gameplay and like what I'm seeing so far just disappointed with no release date other than 2015 which I already figured.
I didn't get to really watch TGS had a very long work week because of a music festival so I only saw MGS V and FF 15. The gameplay looks good so far for FF but I just don't like how the guys look like freaking women lol.

Well, Luna could also be the black haired girl we saw at last year's E3, but it is very confusing. =/ So far no official statement on it. Was hoping Enix would clear it up, but who knows.

Did they show any Kingdom Hearts?
I was surprised honestly! I thought for sure a release date was gonna get announced. =/ Maybe VGAs with Geoff Keighley?
Was hoping for March 17th, 2015 honestly.
Ooh. =O You worked for a music festival? That sounds very cool! ^__^ Though must be loud with the bands and crowds.
Lmao. My mother actually thought Noctis and Prompto were women! xD She was surprised they were guys hahahah.
To be honest, I kinda have a crush on Noctis and Prompto...Especially since Prompto looks like a mixture of Cloud and Zell. xD *swoon*
Fraid not. D= I think KH III's development is really gonna be focused on though. Nomura resigned his position as XV's director to work more on KH III.
No worries, and Aye - that's the PS3 collection - it contains all 8 games from the series - Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2, MGS, MGS: VR Missions, MGS2, MGS3, MGS4 and MGS: Peace Walker - it's pretty awesome, I'm now playing through the whole series, only beginning with MGS - I was binge playing MGS for most of Yesterday, so I'm guilty of that O_O
@samimista: @jonny_anonymous: The characters in Type-0 get some pretty decent development considering how many the game has to fumble around with, but some definitely get more focus then others.
Jaysus... Its just me or was media outlets simply let down by every major AAA release out there? Titanfall, Destiny, Watch_Dogs... Was there any title that wasn't met with disappointment by large groups of people?
@jonny_anonymous: Tabata just confirmed FF XV will be around 40 hours! Guess that's just with the main story though?
And he mentioned how there probably won't be any sequels...Which I'm relieved to hear honestly cause I rather move onto XVI after XV regardless of how good it may be.

Seven and Rem look really awesome. <3 ...May or may not have a girl crush on Seven. >___> *hides her*
Do you know if there's any towns in Type-0? I do hope there's gonna be some exploration.

Daang. I guess the price is a good deal for all those games. O__O I hope after Phantom Pain, Metal Gear 1 and 2 gets remade. Tbh, my favorite Frank design is his in Metal Gear 1:
Wonder if he'll appear in Phantom Pain...Think Africa's gonna be in the game?
And Psycho Mantis' boss fight in MGS 1? Perfection. :D
Africa IS going to be in MGSV: The Phantom Pain... it's basically confirmed, check out this analysis, which confirmed that segments of MGSV will be set in Africa... it is the best analysis. Ever.

And yeah, it's a steal, I love the collection - it got me into the series, I played through almost every single one of the instalments... and now it's my all time favourite. Yeah - Grey Fox is awesome - I completed MGS1 for the first friggin time yesterday - the character's layered and there's a good amount of backstory, and it's nice he carried from MG2. There's also the theory that Snake in MGSV is Grey Fox standing in as a body double for Big Boss, which'd suck crap, but isn't farfetched because, well... it's Kojima :)
My favourite MGS, overall, is Metal Gear Solid 4, mostly because the ton of fan-service and recreation of key moments, and the cinematic experience and the cinema quality, top tier storytelling, characterisation and addictive gameplay, then second place is probably a tie between Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 - both of which are classics, the level of craziness is gold and the stealth is well done, and then it's Metal Gear Solid, which was frustrating like hell but I love it to death, and then I'd place Ground Zeroes at last.
I haven't completed the MSX games and MGS: Peace Walker and the VR Missions, although I'll be attempting all 300 VR missions and I'll formulate an opinion on that - I think all of the games are amazing, and I wrote a blog on the Vine on why I think MGSV: The Phantom Pain will be the greatest video game of all time.
Ooh! =O Will watch this right now. I wonder if we can parachute any other animals besides sheep/goat and DD. 0.o
I wanna create an evil petting zoo! =O Ocelot can clean up the horse poo for me hahahhaha.
Whoa! =O You're first time? Ah man, MGS 1 is golden. O__O What was your favorite boss fight in that one?
Hahaha, have you heard about the Chico is Quiet theory? XD
Kojima confirmed it's not real, but not gonna lie, I wouldn't have put it past him lol.
#TeamFarewellSausage
Lol, okay, I couldn't resist! xD Hehehe. It is funny looking back on this!
Aw. ^___^ 4 is great! Especially with Father and Son playing at the end.
Do hope we see Snake again. Y'know, people been speculating that there may be a post credit scene at the end of Phantom Pain which acts as the opening to Metal Gear 1?
Maybe we can see Hayter voice act adult Snake then! :D
I don't think he could VA a 12/13 year old Snake. XD
Oof. MSX games are hard. >__> I liked how the HD Collection gave you an option of Easy Mode and fixed its save issues though.
Peace Walker though is really fun! Especially the side quests.
You did? =O Hehehe, I will check it out in a bit!
I should be reviewing Phantom Pain when it's out...I previously did blogs which speculated about Phantom Pain and a review of Ground Zeroes.
Nice meeting another MGS fan on here! :D Have you met NickZambuto yet? =O
And no worries! Hehehe, MGS is always a noteworthy conversation!
Well - hope you'll enjoy the analysis. XD. There's two chapters to the analysis, I posted a single one so feel free to look at the other chapter too. If you don't believe my word on the analysis's awesome quality... then trust Kojima - who retweeted the analysis. Yep... it's that damn good.
Yeah - first time playing through the whole thing, well - actually, I've played bits a while back when I purchased the collection... but couldn't get through the damn thing because it's frustrating as heck so I was looking through walkthroughs most times - primarily YongPlay's walkthrough. My favourite boss battle is certainly the climax between Snake and Liquid - not the Metal Gear one but the hand to hand, arena combat boss fight. It's the most simplistic of them all, yet I love it so much... just a classic brawl between two guys... it's awesome.
Heck yeah - I've heard of the Chico is Quiet theory... it's, amusing - yep, I wouldn't put it past Kojima, and considering they're dealing with many controversial themes, transgender could always be one of them, and traumatized children do indeed transgender - it happens, also... did you hear that Quiet isn't incorporated into the primary storyline? It's a subplot and you may/may not meet Quiet - which worries me, I'd like to open that subplot.
Uh huh - MGS4 is my all time favourite video game, and I was playing through it today, it's gold - the overlong cutscenes, and the mechanics and gameplay are well done, and the cutting edge story - it's a wonderful, brilliant combination - you cannot pull the two apart. Speaking of which - no, I really do hope Hayter doesn't return - don't get me wrong, I love Hayter and he worked for what he was... but this is a brand new vision to Metal Gear, it wouldn't work.
Hope you'll enjoy, and I'll be reviewing TPP too - considering I wrote reviews for MGS1 and Ground Zeroes, and wrote up a blog on why TPP will be the best game ever. Ever. Did you notice the symbolism in this picture below?
The camera is placed at that specific angle to convey that Snake is a "devil with his army", and I reckon that's damn awesome. Speaking of which, how would you rank all Metal Gear games from best to worst?
Jaysus... Its just me or was media outlets simply let down by every major AAA release out there? Titanfall, Destiny, Watch_Dogs... Was there any title that wasn't met with disappointment by large groups of people?
Mordor looks like it'll break the streak, it's gotten great reviews.
Been playing Destiny..The game feels like it has potential but Bungie didn't seem to execute it right.
They're releasing a patch next week. Balancing weapons, loot and something else. Legendary engrams will always give a legendary item, upgrade for legendary weapon, or an exotic. Blues will now always give a rare or legendary item/upgrades.
Edit: Oh you can talk without being in a fireteam now
Is it just me or does destiny feel lazy as hell? They've been making the game for god knows how many years (it had been planned since halo 3 odst) and they had a huge budget, yet we got a half @ssed attempt at a game. It's like drawing the outline of a picture, then not bothering to add details or colour to it. The whole game just feels lazy to me...

The 500 million was for the entire franchise on top of marketing. To each their own *goes back to farming*
@darthaznable: oh, I thought it was just for destiny and it's marketing. By the way I didn't mind the farming aspect of it, untill they pretty much removed it anyway...

They're patching it this coming week though. Legendaries always give legendary/material/exotics. Blues always gives rare, legendary, or materials for that gear. They're slowly improving it as time goes on which is good.
@theamazingspidey: Ah. I do like hand-to-hand combat as well. I forgot since it's been so long, but didn't you get the option of fighting hand-to-hand with Grey Fox? Think there was two ways you could fight him? That one I really liked too.
I heard about that! Actually gonna have to use a guide when Phantom Pain comes out...I want Quiet on my team! xD Sucks how DD can die as well. :,( I must stock up on Phoenix Downs! =O
Yeah, I see what you mean about Hayter. His voice can be comicial at times. =/ I do hope he appears though, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't due to nostalgia.
Didn't notice that actually! =O Does look demonic. 0.o
Am glad we'll be seeing Boss's downfall honestly. Especially since it's been a buildup since MGS 3 with the past.

If I recall well, Grey Fox threw his weapon aside and said something like "only a fool trusts his life to a weapon..."... and it was hand-to-hand combat from there on. Yeah - MGS1 has seriously great action sequences.
Uh... I've been pondering on David Hayter (my brother is playing Deja Vu mission right now), um... Kiefer's voice is a mixed bag - on the one hand, his performance is awesome and brings everything this Big Boss needs - but on the other hand... Snake is meant to be the hardened, bada$$ smoker, the guy who's been ragged through war... Kiefer just doesn't fit the character well.
Did you watch the trail analysis I posted it? It's awesome.
MGS4: Guns of The Patriots is one of the most technically stunning PS3 games I've ever played - not necessarily graphic wise, but there's a lot of gameplay elements, they modernised Metal Gear near perfectly and constructed several, many locations etc. etc.
Jaysus... Its just me or was media outlets simply let down by every major AAA release out there? Titanfall, Destiny, Watch_Dogs... Was there any title that wasn't met with disappointment by large groups of people?
This. But I heard Shadow of Mordor is amazing though. Probably the only AAA game that wasn't disappointing.

Exactly, it has been critically acclaimed and this news really please me. Ironically, if you do visit Gamestop, you will see users in the comment sections sh*t on the game for no apparent reason (possibly because it wasn't hyped enough) probably because it was not another Titanfall or Destiny. These people -.-

Yeah, some of the hate the game gets is nonsense considering it's the only game that met it's expectations (and maybe even exceed it) this year but 90% of the users on Gamespot tend to hate on games for no reason. But I'm glad the game turned out to be awesome in the end. :D
@dragonborn_ct: I'll have the game today or tomorrow I tell you then how I personally feel. I've heard great things about Mordor like it being the first true next gen game for the new consoles. It having Batman combat is a plus for me some even say it's better I'll see for my self.
@immortal777: Awesome, buddy! I didn't quite expect this statement about being an system seller, since there is still an port for PS3/Xbox 360 in the making O.o
The vids I've seen so far have been really pleasing.
For the record, I never said Assassin's Creed mastered the stealth genre. Moreover, I never made comparisons with Assassin's Creed and Metal Gear in terms of the stealth element. Do I think the stealth elements are implemented well into the series? Yes. And I strongly disagree with anyone saying its an awfully added element.
A few notable traits of the stealth elements that I have found innovative are:
Social Stealth - Its been a simple, effective and useful way to bypass alert guards, pickpocket and tail marked targets unnoticed from game one.
Freerunning - What is stealth if you cannot transverse the environment, change vantage and observation points at your whim?
Gadgets - There are loads of assassination equipment throughout the series that players can use for divertive, distractive and lethal measures. Hidden blades, poisons, guns, bombs, crossbows, throwing knives, rope darts, blowpipe and those were off the top of my head.
As for the difficulty of the stealth, I'm pretty sure everyone messes up their synchronization once or twice (probably even more) on their first play through. So don't sit there and say stealth is easy, once you figure out at least five different ways of approaching a mission, it certainly becomes a tough gig. Just like any other stealth game, you test theories and try to make it work.
Why people call the stealth awful, is beyond me. Plus its more of an action/adventure game in the first place. Why isn't the Arkham games getting pulled up for stealth?
Just finished The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and while I completely enjoyed the experience the length of the game(4 hours) doesn't match the price of the game($20) IMO.
