This episode was good.

Theon's torture scene was really hard to watch. I don't think I will stomach more of it, and I haven't seen not even much from the Bastard of Bolton.

I can't get enough of Olenna Tyrell talking s*** to Tywin Lannister lol

F***ing Raggeti trying to kill Jon and Ygritte.

RIP Ros. Even if I didn't like you that much, that was a sad way to go :(

How much of a surprise you think Edmure will have when he discovers his future wife is a babe?

Poor Sansa. She was hoping to be free from the Lannisters by marrying Loras and going to High Garden (even though she was totally not his type at least they could be friends :P)

I knew Melissande would eventually find Gendry Skywalker to create more shadow demon babies to kill people for Stannis.

@judasnixon: You know I've been meaning to ask you,how do you feel about the shows characterization of Ramsay, because in this ep I really got that ''Bastard of Bolton'' feeling

#204 Edited by judasnixon (7615 posts) - - Show Bio

@thatguywithheadphones: That's the Bastard of Bolton I've been waiting for all season for...... I'm watching that sense again right now.

#205 Posted by ThatGuyWithHeadPhones (13419 posts) - - Show Bio

@judasnixon:

That scene kinda though me off,but my little brother(age 8) watch it while laughing...should I be worried.....or impress.

Wait Wait Wait

So the show just replace Edric with Gendry...Right so when Davos save him will Gendry be sent to Dragonstone to play with Shireen or...go back to the Brotherhood...but why would he go back there after they just let Mes take him to be sacrifice.

Theon's torture, ugh, that made me squirm more than even the most gory torture porn movie.

#209 Posted by Loki9876 (3081 posts) - - Show Bio

hey vine I have never seen this show but I maybe will. I only saw one episode (the first one) and there was a lot of sex. This bothered me I am no priest or anything I just don't like it when they have too much sex just to get views. Does these scenes reduce because a lot of people are saying game of thrones is really cool do you think I should give it a chance?.

#210 Posted by _Grifter_ (12256 posts) - - Show Bio

As much as I dislike Theon, I'm having a hard time watching him getting tortured by The Bastard Of Bolton. Just reading about all the things that Bolton did to him in the book was enough. And now seeing it first hand....and what's worse is that Ramsay is just getting started with him.

Thrones is the best show on television. You should definitely watch it if you enjoy complex characters, plot twist, and vast unfolding story-arcs. If you are bothered by sex and violence though, you might want to skip it, as there is a lot of both.

#212 Posted by Loki9876 (3081 posts) - - Show Bio

@moonchilde: I don't really mind violence, I think too much sex can be bothering. Yes, I know. I'm a weird guy. Maybe the story and the characters are worth it like you said.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb but they refuse. They cling to the realm, or the gods, or love—illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.

The ending of the episode featuring Varys and Littlefinger is my favorite. Those two are truly masters of the Game. Both determined to go to great lengths for power but for very different reasons. Varys believes in influence and bringing peace and order to the Realm. Littlefinger believes in opportunity and will go to such evil lengths to get it, even if it means ensuring chaos as long as he survives long enough to rule it.

Finally, Littlefinger's speech and the eventful scenes that coexists along with it was truly impactful.

Yeah, I didn't really consider Baelish a major player in the game till the whole scheme with Sanza and then his speech. Even after Vary's warned of him.

He's kind of that silent, but deadly player setting things up behind the scenes. Cersei did put him in his place though in that one scene.... "Knowledge is power". Cersei: "Guards, cut his throat. Oh wait now, I've changed my mind lol.....Power is power"

The actor is exceptional though; just the way he said "Chaos is a ladder" combined with his facial expression gave me the weirdest boner.

EDIT: There's only been three "speeches" in the series that were awe inspiring for me: Daenyr's speech spoken in Valyrian when she'd officially acquired the Unsullied and was killing their captors, the Bealish's one, and every single word that escaped Khal Drogo's mouth.

Judging by how her son turned out, I wouldn't exactly say she's a great role model for mothers.

Happy Mothers Day, everyone...

The bastard of Bolton has got to be the biggest troll I've ever seen on TV.

I hope they give us Reek before this season is over.

#220 Posted by Dragonborn_CT (24608 posts) - - Show Bio

Man, I am going to be blunt here... This was a rather weak episode because this one felt a lot like filler than anything else. Seriously you could have cut it out entirely except Jaime and Brienne's scene and maybe Daenerys and very little would have changed. Well the next two episodes are going to be the most critical.

#221 Posted by _Grifter_ (12256 posts) - - Show Bio

@dragonborn_ct: I was kinda hoping that they wouldn't show what happened to Theon, ya know let everyone think he was dead til the end of this season.

#222 Posted by ThatGuyWithHeadPhones (13419 posts) - - Show Bio

@dragonborn_ct: I personally think the episode spent WAY to much time on Jon Snow Part

#223 Posted by Dragonborn_CT (24608 posts) - - Show Bio

@thatguywithheadphones: Exactly, to the point it became unnecessary. If you cut out all of his scenes except the first one, they would have been fine.

@grift3r: I don't think we will see him saying "it rhymes with leek" this season just yet.

I'd say keep Arya's scne as well, that seemed like a pretty important scene to me, but otherwise I agree. This was probably the weakest episode of the season so far. Most of the scenes didn't tell us anything we didn't already know. Worst has to be Theon's scene. In fact, Theon in general has been rather redundant this season. Yes, he is being tortured, do we have to be reminded of that every week?

Wow, you caught up pretty quick. Glad you seemed to like the show. I'm a Jon Snow fan as well. Him, Daenerys and Arya are probably my three favorites.

Daenaerys is becoming a bit of a bully.

Daenaerys is becoming a bit of a bully.

That's going to be her downfall. She has no leadership skills outside of deception and appeasing to the sentimentality of slaves. The only two people in her camp who know anything are old knights that are not as venerable and strategic as they once were.

I agree, you can see that she's not exactly leader material, she's unexperienced with many nations that she encounters, I have a feeling her dragons won't always be around to use as a threatening tool and then she'll be in trouble.

Today's episode was a pretty solid one I gotta say. Tyrion showed once again he is one of the most basically decent people in the show, choosing to not take Sansa to bed against her will and telling Joffrey off in the most epic way possible.

I could tell that Mero guy from the Second Sons was a douchebag of the highest caliber the second he entered the scene. He hit my Douche Alert every time he opened his mouth, it was even worse than Kraznys last time.

OMFG SAM KILLED A WHITE WALKER FTW!!!!!!

#235 Edited by The_Tree (8284 posts) - - Show Bio

Sam really rose to the occasion. That was very cool.

The new guy in Dany's group seemed cool, but I don't trust him just yet. Can't wait to see her attack Yunkai.

Tyrion trying to put the cloak on Sansa was pretty hilarious, but he also got mad respect later on. Didn't sleep with Sansa, stayed faithful to Shae, and told of Joffrey in the most badass way possible: "You’ll be f###ing your own bride with a wooden c###."

And who are you, the proud lord said,
that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat,
that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red,
a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord,
as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke,
that Lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall,
with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

I also felt really bad for Gendry. No man deserves a leach in that area.

#240 Posted by judasnixon (7615 posts) - - Show Bio

I loooooooved the Queen of Thorns in this episode...... With the whole china town family tree rant she sang. oh yeah give it up for Stephen Dillane and Laim cunningham. They are killing it as Stannis and Davos......

I'm curious to see where the show is going to take Gendry.

#244 Edited by The Stegman (27221 posts) - - Show Bio

I love the show, but sometimes I think they show naked women just to fill some sort of quota. I mean did Melisandre REALLY have to have sex with Gendry? It was so brief that she obviously didn't get pregnant from it so that's no reason, and she already could have gained his trust without ''going for a ride'' feels like the show sometimes just needs to show nudity...though I will admit, anytime I can see Daenerys in her birthday suit, I'll take it.

Woud you rather worship the Seven Aspects, the Old Gods, Or R'hllor?

It's between The Old Gods and The Many Faced God.
