Music.......I can't live without it. 

  The best thing invented in my eyes is the telescope, with one simple invention one was able to change and entire societal view and with that inspire a new generation of science. 
 
  Second would be art.

I would have to say our best invention isnt really an invention, at least not a singular one. But the best thing we've done so far is learn to convert energy and other resources into power.
And Internet.

Well, I guess it would depend which art...or your interpretation of art. A painting, sculpture yes I believe man invented those since it's not something apart of nature itself. A painting, sculpture, drawing etc is all man made. Is it not?

  Volatile Organic Compounds.  They're a contributing factor to the Ozone hole, they're mostly released from air conditioning, which is a big coincidence in my eyes that one of the greatest comfort inventions contributes to global climate change.

Well, there is invent/invention and then there is understanding and realization. Defining. Many things man has just come to be aware of, understand, realize but maybe not invent. We didn't invent the Moon when we named it, realized it and defined it. A lot of the best things weren't invented by us either, like communication (advanced language is tricker/fuzzier)  Agriculture allowed us to actually start taking it easy, but I would not personally count that, as an invention, more just harnessing and applying better awareness and understanding of nature. Movable type helped spread news and knowledge... ultimately I'd go with the internet. Extremely powerful equalizer. Its effects we still can't really quantify. The cheaper they get the more people can have them, the more people can learn, educate, be aware, have knowledge etc etc you'll be able to simulate traveling to other countries cultures, meeting people, get educated, and just... so many other things. Pooling resources as well. Sharing. Its... its yeah. Main distinguishing factor, is its ability to store info, share info and pool info with so many people, so fast and with such relative convenience. (as opposed to books, which are pretty cool too)

Medicine.  If the concept of medicine was never invented, think of how many people would be dead now.  Think of how many of you might have never been born.

i'm a survivor my people were survivors a lot of the people before us were survivors. i still say it was the sharp stick.

Without it, angry, bitter, emotional people like me would have been identified and ostracized from society a long time, but now with the other Best invention I mentioned, Teh Internetz I can make attacks on female's, religion, body size, breasts, my own shallow sense of beauty, all day long without people realizing how hard my male vajayjay is hurt. (edit, for extra waaah)
