If you like music from the 80's, or want to figure out if you might like it, this is the thread for you. =)

Post and discuss music videos from the 80's of artists that you like. Tell us what you like about the music or videos of that time, how it compares to stuff today, etc.

I'll kick it off with this video from the great Annie Lennox and the Eurythmics.

I love this. Kinda kooky by modern standards, but there's a nice Golden Age innocence to it.

Here's really awesome song. I grew up in the 80's, and I have to admit I wasnt a Boy George fan, but I cant deny how amazing this song is and sounds.

I can't post videos over my phone.

Yes, yes, and YES!!!

Great, great song! One of my favorite bands ever (if not the favorite). I'm going to post more of their stuff later, unless someone beats me to it.

Thank you for posting and reminding me of this.

From the days of their youth... and where they weren't inclined to make Lulu :(

And from a record that almost single-handedly spawned an entire sub-genre:

@kingofash:

If you make a list of the greatest moments in rock history, this easily goes up on the top 5.

One of the greatest frontmen in rock history, in one of the greatest bands, in one of the greatest concerts, singing some of the greatest songs, in front of 72,000 people. Of all the great and legendary artists that performed at Live Aid (The Who, U2, Elton John, Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Sting, Phil Collins, Elvis Costello), Queen's performance is really what people remember and talk about to this day.

Rock and Roll began to really die in the eighties. But what do I know? I'm a cynical asshole.
