The £1million Shark Hypothetical

The setting is an Olympic sized swimming pool, inside this pool is a full grown and fully alive great white shark. There are no other variables that you can use to your advantage and the shark is neither hungry or full and has complete freedom within the pool, the question is:

Would you swim across the pool (length ways) to the other side for £1million?

EDIT: Small clarification to make you have as much prep time as you need but you're not allowed to leave the pool from the sides however you can leave from the end that you entered in but obviously you won't get the million unless you complete one length across from one end to the other. YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO USE ANYTHING OUTSIDE WHAT I HAVE SAID IN THE QUESTION, also in this hypothetical the shark is perfectly alive and mobile in the pool and cannot die by any means. It's a simple question and you're not allowed to add anything at all to it.

Sure, unless he is provoked, I would think he has no reason to attack.......

Hell fcking no. Im a terrible swimmer. Im 21 and I never past the deep-in test. But that is a lot of money.

Provided I have time to get ready so I don't s**t myself, and considering I'm an above-average swimmer? Yeah. If there's no blood on you, he has no reason to go after you, so you'd just swim really fast to the other end and be fine.

It's basically a question of:

1. Would you be able to force yourself into the pool.

2. What do you think the odds of the Great White attacking you are.

Personally my life is too awesome to risk it for £1000000. Maybe if I were depressed and had nothing to live for then I'd go for it.

As long as there's absolutely no blood on me at all and I have no cuts or pricks on me at all, I could do that. I certainly wouldn't be swimming like I'd be racing though, I'd have to pace myself or my asthma would get me. Plus, the less splashing I could make the better.

Sharks don't attack humans for no reason. If you had a surfboard or something, than I would say no, but if you were swimming normally than yes I would do it for $1,000,000. Not for free though. Noooooooo..

No, and anyone who says otherwise is lying. Just seeing the shark (of that size) in the pool is enough to make anyone go "Yeah, not getting in there."

I sincerely doubt prep time allows for a tactic that would kill the shark, seeing as that defeats the entire purpose of the thread.The OP simply didn't establish enough rules.

just getting in a pool that small would disturb the water enough to alert the shark. doesn't mean it would it would eat me but would deff scare the xrap out of me when i turns twards me

@jazmac: whats the temperature of the pool

I've gone Shark Diving before, this would be no trouble for me. But I'd be pissed for the Shark. It'd die fast.
