Uh Huh
This a growing trend that is unfortunately going to get worse and worse. Young people, especially males, have always been targeted to be suicide bombers because of how easy to exploit they are at those ages, since at a certain age experience, knowledge and awareness gives them more options, and they start to be less obedient and less than willing to die for a cause. Of course todays day and age that age is getting younger, so they are going to try to start recruiting younger and younger, and more females will be fostered to have the sort of intense attitudes required to go and blow up people to send them and the bomber to paradise.
Those people are sick (i'm referring to the Taliban not the kids) seriously? There is absolutely nothing they can say to justify that. I don't normally say this but I hope whoever came up with that idea goes to hell....
Child soldiers are nothing new. They're easier to brainwash and have just enough drive to be able to believe in a cause. They've been in most wars where there isn't a standardized army including Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, the Ugandan civil war as well as the Sierra Leone civil war.
Speaking of which there is a great autobiography by a man named Ishmael Beah who was a child soldier in the Sierra Leone civil war.
Children will always be drafted to fight in their adults causes after all they're looking for purpose at that age and there are plenty of people looking to manipulate those youths to live, fight, and die for them. It's brutal and horrid, but definitely not new.
