Mk and sf require skill to win at higher levels, just about every main fighter does. Its just implemented differently.

@vaeternus: MK is specifically made so it's easier for pepole to get good at it without actually being good.

Arc System Works produce my favourite fighting games, but STREET FIGHTER over Mortal Kombat any day of the week. Hate MK.

I love the MK games.When I was little I used to play a lot more Street Fighter but it never kept me much interested unlike Mortal Kombat.Also I like the characters a lot more.

@jonny_anonymous: not true at all mk, used to be a far easier game grant you in the early 90s when it was all about fatalities but mk 9 is as deep and tough as any other 2d fighter out there atm. Both sf4 and mk9 were made with casual and hardcore players in mind.

That being said, mk owns sf because of badass storyline, characters, good movies, series and generally more fun to play then sf which is just a recycled version of the same game from the 90s lol. I Mean hell, they havent even created a good storymode or new costumes/alternates yet its 20 years later, lame!

Wow this actually explains a lot about this community to me haha.

Doing specials is easier in MK and it's a lot more noob friendly, but Street Fighter feels a lot more fluid to me and I enjoy fighting in it more against the computer.
So overall I enjoy Street Fighter more even if I don't play it correctly.

Hell no, MvC 2 is a good party game, but compared to he complexity of those 2, it sucks, I won the freaking game just by repeatedly smashing my controller, hell you can beat almost anybody with a team of Cable, Dr Doom, and Iceman and spam some quarter circle forward punches. .

I like MK better, I didn't like much the first few games, but it grew onto me and casually play it from time to time.

I love both, but it's MK for me
