STOP FLOODING CV WITH GAY PRIDE THREADS

this is getting ridiculous. 
i really dont care if youre gay or if you arent. i go both ways myself. and there was one or two gay resct threads, or whatever, and thats fine i assumed whatever was discussed there would stay there. 
but come on, shoving it in my face? im trying to look at a battle or a discussion about why some guy hates that writer, and all i see is gay, gay, gay,. jeez. we get it. if you want to advertise your single homosexuality, please do it on your profile or keep it to one thread. you dont see straight respect or bi respect threads everywhere... 
what the hell even is a respect thread anyway? 
why dont you just type the subject, and then leave it...

There has been a DragonBallZ vs everyone else phase ( which lead to ban of anime/manga vs comic battles)

there has been a god of war phase which then lead to a mythology phase

there has been a thor phase (that was after the avengers and aslo after the thor movie)

there has been a hercules phase (during chaos wars)

there has been a storm phase (which lasted for many moon cycles)

Hell there was even a sailor moon phase which i personally feuled

So don't fret, it the phase will be over soon

So, you are so upset with the Gay threads that, unstead of ignoring them by focusing on those that you like, you create a new one ? Interesting. Everybody has the right to create the kind of thread they want. Nobody is forcing nobody to post in those threads. So what's your problem ? If you are against the "gay pride", the better idea is to respond to this in the thread you're referring. Because at the end of the day you know you're not a mod and your voice has no power over the people your complains are aimed to.

It still happens. It's just a matter of content in the threads that determine whether or not they're locked. The more taboo, the more comments. For instance, when someone created a number of racial threads they were left alone simply because it even piqued the interest of regulars and moderators, despite their complaints. It's called baiting.

I learned not to post threads that get people heated back when i started a thread on the 2008 election....

As long as it's in the off-topic forums i see no problem with it. That's what it's there for, things not related to comics :)

For me what makes forums enjoyable is that when you refresh it, you get a whole new set of topics so to stifle people from making new topics (short of ones that break the rules) seems counterproductive. Of course in a perfect world you could refresh and get just topics you are interested in but no such forum exists and it would kind of be horrible, wouldn't it? Because you'd never have time to reply to every one before it died. I don't know about this community but in general if two threads are overly similar, I think people are pretty good at picking one and letting the other fall to the wayside.

It's correct in a sense. Yes, it's a phase, but the newer people are the ones creating the threads or bumping up the old ones. Also, I'm inclined of belief that they are likely teenagers.

I don' think it matter or hurts anyone. If you don't like the title of a particular thread just don't go into it. I would be far more concerned with all that football spam we were getting yesterday.

Actually glad that they have some of these gay threads. I probably wouldn't have stayed in the off topic section. I think it is great to be able to meet other gay viners.

I completely agree....I'm one of those people that believes that the off-topic section has gotten extremely out of hand....this is still a comic book website and I don't see the point in posting a thread for every youtube video that these people come across....I also believe that the dupe threads have been getting pretty bad....I posted the news about Superior Spider-man the other day and within an hour there were probably close to 10 threads with people just saying what they thought of the news...imo that's a dupe thread....sorry for the rant but your comment opened up my rant filter there for a minute
