@Prince CortSether:@Static Shock: If we want to talk about just wrestling ability/talent then neither of them deserve the top spot. Overall however between the two I believe the Rock had more appeal, in all areas. But this is my opinion.

As a wrestler, yes. In terms of charisma and appeal, he's the best ever. No one could build the atmosphere like Hogan. As awesome as he is, even the Rock doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Hulk.

I think Hogan's the greatest by far, purely because of his charisma, but he's not my favourite.
Undertaker's numero uno for me.

The thing is, I've always thought Steve Austin was awesome no matter what era of the WWF/WWE (except when he was fighting Masked Kane because Kane was my fav wrestler and nobody is more awesome than him -fact). I only liked The Rock when he was a heel and was teamed up with Vince McMahon, you know, the one that was getting in all those fights with Stone Cold and ended up wrestling him at Wrestlemania XV. Once he became a 'clean' superstar I felt his shtick was blah.

Kurt Angle for me especially the later WWE years to his time in TNA. Great choice with thw MCMG. John Morrison is also an incredible modern day wreslter

I LOVED Kurt Angle. Even when he was a bad guy and I was younger, he was always one of my favourites. His fight against HBK at WM XXI is one of my favourites, even though I'm not a big Michaels fan.
I am so glad that I was one of the people lucky enough to like wrestling back when these two were a big part of it.
If I had to choose one...Stone Cold.
I mean come on...the stunner was the best finisher ever. Anyone remember when he stunnered vince...helped him back up and then stunnered him again...classic. I will always remember the good days no matter how shitty wrestling gets.
Austin but only because I was a fan of his the longest.
Watching him toil away in WCW you could tell the guy had big league talent but just needed that one break. Then the guy gets fired by Eric Bischoff after Hogan and friends basically took over WCW and later ruined it with their backstage political BS. In true superstar fashion he used this turn of events to carve out a new persona for himself and became one of the biggest draws in wrestling history.
As far as wrestling ability he had it in spades and then some. The only difference was fans in the WWF didn't want to see him in some great technical match they wanted to see him brawl and kick ass. He gave the fans what they wanted.

The Rock was better than Stone Cold Steve Austin IMO... both were great though... The Rock seems a little lame now though since he started to do all those wack ass movies
