Treefolk
Species War Tournament (Sci-fi, Horror, Fantasy)
@Deadite: haha steel rods will be like giving a tooth pick to a baby and then making it fight Brock Lesner. I vote treefolk

Give the Engineers some weapons. I mean the Treefolk are just too big for the Engies to fight on their own
Ok. They never used weapons in the movie that's why I hesitate to give them something like pulse rifles. What will you suggest? For now, I'll give them steel rod.
Treefolks 3-0 Engineers
a Battle Axe may have been better :)
Demon Soldier. Not sure who'd want to vote for Jar Jars species. Edit: Ah, I just read previous pages and now I realize the point of the vote. Not popularity! Still, I don't think the Gungan clumsy luck will prevail against Demon Soldiers.
You are kidding right? Demons vs Gungans?
Demons are angels who have fallen from heaven. They are extremely powerful and can control any mortal.
@kuonphobos: not heart wrenching... I would pay good money to see the Beezlebub's minions tear Jar Jar apart

Heh heh
Heart wrenching in the sense of watching something so helpless getting smashed by such an overwhelming force that even one's distaste of those getting pulverized would be transformed into "OH MY (insert object of prayer here) THAT JUST ISN'T RIGHT!" =)
@VercingetorixTheGreat Using the description I given them, it'll just be a reasonable, but unique species. I just wanted to see the ultimate good and evil concept forming as 2 species in this tournament. Besides their not overpowering physical stats, their greatest weapon will probably be how people reflect upon them.
@VercingetorixTheGreat Read the condition I given them in the previous page. They can't have magical powers. They can't overpower their opposing species. Their Advantage is cunningness.
Demon soldiers won!! Next battle:
Random Encounter
Saber-toothed cats
vs
Lycans
@Deadite: You may want to give a bit more detail to your concept of demons for future reference. I understand no magical abilities but not "not overpowering the opposing species". Does this concept of demons include super strength, flight, teleportation (is that magical?) etc. It may come up again in the future.
Now on with the show.
I vote Lycans based upon super/ praeturnatural strength/ speed/ and regeneneration. Other wise it looks pretty even if Lycans have no special abilities.
EDIT - Also I vote saber-toothed cats to survive (not sure what that means or when to say it) if they don't
EDIT - also would like to vote to include the Yautja (Predators) as a race. Thanks.

I think the beauty of it is that I didn't give the details normal species would have. It's more difficult to manage, and I already anticipated that. You can use any feat reference you seen in past for their species, but you'll have to depower it to the point where it won't completely overpower the opposing species. Their advantage will always just be Cunningness. When they meet the ultimate other spectrum, I'll give them flight.@kuonphobos said:

@kuonphobos Predator is in the tournament. Use PM channel to send your suggestions. This way we keep the board organize.
You can only vote for a side to survive when they're on the losing end. I forgot to put that in the rules. Yes, you can use it because you use your official vote on Lycans.
Sabertooth gained survival vote:1
I vote Lycans.
I vote Survival: Saber-toothed
Lycans 2-0 Saber-toothed cats
Sabertoothed cats Survival vote total: 2

Roger that.
Well then perhaps the Gungans stood more of a chance. =)

@RIKR2 With his bio-suit, he tanked pulse rifle shots fired by humans. He pulled David, an android's head off without much effort. He was able to struggle quite awhile against the grabs of a creature that seemed to be the 1st generation of the Facehugger that snipe Xenomorph eggs into human. The 1st gen Facehugger was gigantic.
Treefolk
Treefolks 2-0 Engineers
The Engineer wasn't shot by a Pulse Rifle in Prometheus.

no scenario?
Sorry I dont know that much about either and did not get one.
maybe on a beach would be best scenario for both here, tho my vote is still for the Merfolk.

Maybe.
Event: location took place on a coastline, the Merfolks are coming out of the water to attack the Necromorphs.
(They'll have to further invade the horde on the beach if their attack succeeded.)
Numbers: Merfolks (20) vs Necromorphs (35)
Necromorph 3-1 Merfolks

Nice scenario there @Deadite
Thanks (:
@RIKR2 Yeah, I think I gave them what they needed. I'll count this as a vote to Merfolks.
Necromorph 4-2 Merfolks
I would of made a scenario up had I known more about them.
