OK!
So, even though my first blog was ultra informative, I figured I could give a small introduction... to.. me.....
Yeah.
When I was a kid I loved comics. I loved anything related to comics. My Saturday mornings revolved around watching Batman the animated series, X-Men, Spider-man, Transformers, G.I. Joe, ... you get the picture.. all the good stuff. If I wasn't watching comic cartoons I was reading comics or making my own crudely drawn comics starring all my favorite characters.. needless to say I was a pretty nerdy kid. Then at some point I started growing out of all that stuff and by the time I was in high school I couldn't care less about superheroes or comics.. or anything of that nature. I had become obsessed with music (which I still am obsessed with to this day).
blah blah blah and such
Fast forward to 2012
My cousin had been trying for about ten years to get me back into comics. He'd show me cool titles every now and then and I'd get the "How the expletive deleted are you not reading this!" to which I'd just shrug my shoulders and go on living my comic-less lifestyle... That all changed a few months ago.
Now I don't know why this was what got me to go into my local comic shop but when I heard about the plot for Carnage U.S.A. I just had to read it for myself. I went into the shop, picked up a few different titles (Carnage U.S.A. #1 and #2 included) I had been recommended and from that day I've been hooked again. Since that day I've been into the shop at least once a week picking up new titles and reading lots of back issues in order to catch up. (DC's launch of the New 52 was actually one of the best things that could have happened for me because I only have to buy 6 or 7 comics to catch up with a storyline.)
So after all that time away, here I am in love with comics all over again and it's even better than I remember.
Comics are expletive deleted rad!
