Sonic The Hedgehog vs The Flash (Barry Alen) (Race)

On a planet filled with Loops, water, and spikes. Who will win in a race between these two iconic speedsters? Sonic The Hedgehog or The Flash?

Rules:

This is comic book sonic to make it fair.

He is allowed to use chaos or super emeralds (If it's to unfair I'll change it since comic sonic is pretty OP)

*Note: I'm well aware this has been done, but it was not between Comic book sonic and the flash, just video game sonic (Who has shown signs going FTL, but still a little unfair).

Archie Comics Sonic is freaking OP as hell.

@rocketraccoonthingy: Sonic's done that to. Not only in the comics, but in the video games with very much ease. Hell, he even stopped time itself.

Flash will always be faster, Archie sonic or not.

@unbiasedrodger: How exactly? I'm not too big on flash or even archie sonic. But the little I know about both is that they're beyond the speed of light. Sonic has gone 8 or 9 trillion times the speed of light just because he can in his base form (When he was younger, slower, and more inexperienced and wasn't even his max speed) in the comics.

P.S. Another thing I know is that Sonic (In his base form) went so fast that HE STOPPED TIME and went to the the beginning of time.

Its been stated by Ian Flynn, the current head writer, that Archie Sonic is just as fast as games Sonic. However, games' Sonic's top speed is never really specified. So who knows. Probably Flash.

@superadam: Has sonic had a current reboot? Because it's obvious and implied that Sonic is a lot, and I mean a lot faster in the comics.

Yes, Sonic had a reboot, however, I don't think his speed changed in the reboot. Its just poor writing in the earlier issues.

@superadam: I think the comics before the reboot were just suppose to be their own thing (At least I think so because sega has confirmed them cannon to the games). However, Sonic was meant to be incredibly faster than his video game counterpart in the comics. So I don't think it's poor writing, but more sonic's meant to have no limit when it comes to his speed in the comics.

@spideyfan2001: Allot of the "feats" people use from Archie Sonic are from the comedic early issues, which were never really canon. So its like using feats from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. But I'd say Archie Sonic and games Sonic are equally fast.

@superadam: As I said earlier he stopped time and outran a black hole in his base form (These were when the comics got serious because these are obviously too serious for the earlier issues). VG sonic would never compare to that.
