Something I don't understand

I've been thinking about this for a while, with all this stuff about Bill Cosby being accused of rape, I'm not going to defend Cosby or go into the details. That's not what this is about.

My issue is this, his punishment is basically the destruction of his legacy and don't get me wrong he deserves whatever he gets if he did what he's accused of,but here's the thing, Roman Polanski was convicted of drugging and raping a child and celebrities line up to support him while some of these same celebrities are condemning Cosby, how is that not hypocrisy?

Now before anyone brings it up I know that from a semantic point of view drugging and raping a lot of people is worse than doing it to just one person but its worse in the same way mass murder is worse than one murder, both are still horrible things tho.

I would like to see an answer to this as well.

Woody Allen was accused of child molestation and Bryan Singer(director of the X-Men movies) was accused of sexual abuse. Yet the public didn't shun them like they did to Bill Cosby. Roman Polanski got a free pass. Seems fishy.

Well it IS Hypocricy. No need to worry your head about it.

This man gets its.

Its always guilty until proven innocent. No matter what the crime if its made publicly people will treat you like you are guilty. Some do it blatantly and some do it subconsciously but either way most people will always treat you like your guilty until proven innocent if you are accused of a crime.

Roman Polanski is a pig and anyone who defends him should be ashamed of themselves. My opinion.

In all fairness, Polanski should be viewed much worse than Cosby since his crimes were proven whereas Cosby's accusers have no proof. I'm consistet in defending people as innocent until proven guilty. I stand up in defense of Michael Jackson and Zimmerman. The cases were made before a jury, and the jury found them innocent. The jury certainly knew more about those cases than I, or most of the people playing armchair judge, will ever know. I even stood up for OJ Simpson until he wrote that "If I did it..." Book, and there was actual evidence tied to him unlike the Cosby case.

I think what really distinguishes these two is that Polanski didn't criticize black culture and Cosby did. For this reason, Cosby must be burned at the stake.
