Shaakira DorseyLike lots of 16-year-old kids, Shaakira Dorsey got into a stupid fight with a girl she knew. This fight was so stupid, in fact, that it actually was about farting. Apparently, Dorsey teased another girl after she passed gas, as lots of high school students have done in the past. The difference between this fight and other trivial teenage arguments? This fight ended with Shaakira being killed.

According to reports, after Shaakira poked fun at another girl for her flatulence, an argument didn't just break out, a full-blown fist fight did. And before Shaakira's stepfather was able to intervene, his daughter collapsed. Shortly thereafter, she was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. The unnamed suspect has been charged with one count of murder, and she's set to make her first court appearance on Wednesday.

I mean, wow. I'm not trying to trivialize anything here, but -- a child was just murdered over a fart. That's ... well, that's unbelievable.

Teenagers obviously do stupid things and get into stupid fights all the time, but typically they wind up resolving themselves, or at the very least, the kids just wind up going their own ways (perhaps after some punches have been thrown). But to kill another person over something as stupid as this? I mean, how do you even digest this scenario?

No doubt the girl suspected of murdering Shaakira is going to regret this for the rest of her life -- no matter what the legal outcome. I don't know if killing Shaakira was her intention, but she did, and now she has to live with it. And what's she going to say to people when they asked why she did it? Awful.

This is why I stopped wanting to join the armed forces a couple weeks ago (not that I ever told anyone on the site I was considering it).

People simply aren't worth it. They don't even understand simple things such as, fists break people. Think a fist fight is just some wild fun? People die from that sort of stuff all the time. And then people say "oh it won't happen to me" and the same god damn thing happens.

Not mad at the site or you guys, I'm mad at everyone else who's stupid enough to do this stuff. Sadly, there is a relatively large amount of people who've done things only barely more intelligent than this on a regular basis.

Stupidest fight I ever got into? I've only ever been in physical confrontations with siblings, and one misunderstanding with a friend because we were rough-housing and I accidentally scratched his face lol. I guess that would be it for me. I tend to avoid physical conflicts because I'm afraid of hurting others when I know they don't really deserve it, and that also makes me afraid of losing the fight and winding up dead because they're crazy and don't have the same respect for life that I do. So generally I avoid it. I've never witnessed someone doing anything that made me feel obligated to dropkick them. :P

I got in a fight my Sophomore year because of a friend of a friend of a friend. Long story, but the whole thing was super dumb and just hs bs.

I used to get into fights all the time, but most of them were training bouts. Actual serious fights... Only a few of them. Never went this far. They were broken up before anything like this could happen, thankfully.

On a more serious note....this is pretty F'd up. If it was unintentional she'd still be charged with manslaughter (I think?) at the least, but regardless someone is dead because of a fart joke, it would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

They were boxing and after the fight, the girl who made the joke took two steps and then collapse. She blacked out and passed away in the hospital. She was either punched or kicked in the chest too hard or hit in the head too hard. One of the two.

I... I can't even fathom this. A girl lost her life over something so trivial. It makes me sick. Why can't we just let words roll off our shoulders?
