Skyrim capers

I rode my horse high into the mountains. I tried to cross a river, but I got swept away in the current and fell down 3 large waterfalls. This killed my horse and made me sad because I had a long way to walk to get to the town I was going to. Has this happened to anyone else? What are your Skyrim stories?

Why don't you just fast travel? If you haven't located some cities then hire carriage outside of any city, it will take you anywhere you want.
