@spiderbat87: I thought about putting it off so I could buy Modern Warfare 3, but the girl I'm seeing bought that for me already. I won't know what to play at this point and I haven't fully gone through many other games. I don't just play games... I make love to them.

I remember playing on the previous versions of this game...

@spiderbat87: That's generally why I love games by Bethesda. I have to be in a certain mood to play Black Ops, Battlefield 3 and Gears 3, whereas New Vegas and Oblivion I can just run around the sandbox kicking dirt in mutants'/vampires' mouths.

YES! Game of the year potential. Oblivion is still my fav 360 game, I dropped near to or over 100 hours in Oblivion and the Fallout games each. But I'm not following it too much before I play, for me it lessens the awe factor.

Yea I'm the same, been killing Zombies/Cowboys on Dead Island/Red Dead for a while now, need to change up to orcs and dragons.

I'm putting off my purchase for Battlefield 3 just to get the game next week. I've played too much of FPSs this year.

In other news, IGN says that you should say goodbye to real life when playing Skyrim...

Take that however you want to take it. LOL.

When Oblivion came out I became malnourished, my girlfriend left me, my bosses suspected me of tweaking and my family thought I had cancer. With Skyrim, I hope to do better.

I was screwing around with the magic system by combining two frost spells for about fifteen minutes straight. I was running while casting them continuously, pretending to be Frozone..

Please tell me I'm not the only one who sat back around the tower and took him down with arrows. I tried taking him on directly twice, and got burnt to a nice little dragonborn crisp.. twice.

@ZombieBigfoot:My guy is an archer nord so I used arrows to take him down, if you're fighting close you should try letting the other guards take the brunt of his attacks and attack when he isn't looking.

Same, I noticed a huge Norse theme in Skyrim which is fantastic.

Ha, its a good name. I'v kind of came up with my own fluff for my character, he's really a Nord but I have him as a Pictish warrior named Hueil An Gallovidian, Hueil was a mythical Pictish warrior and member of the round table so I thought I'd steal his name and An Gallovidian means "of Galloway" in Gallwegian Gaelic  which is where I'm from.

My dorm mate bought Skyrim and he let me play a bit of it. I think it's a bit overhyped. It's really buggy and the most annoying thing of all is that the hits don't even feel like they connect, it feels like you're slashing at air with your character.

I was trying to act like the bada** dragonslayer who could take them head on. Then I realized that guy gets killed more often and the archer who sticks by the tower entrance and chips away at the dragon's health lives much longer.

They're docile. They'll only hit you if you hit them first. I've walked up to six giants and stared at them. They just turn their head and look at you funny.

Not really, I ran through their camp and they started shooing and chasing me away.
Also, I am having a hard time taking on a ice troll. :P Dang thing keeps regenerating health.

I dunno. Like I said, I've walked up to six of them while they were herding the woolly mammoths, and they just stared at me. I even stood there for like thirty seconds on one occasion. Haven't run into one of their camps though. And I hate the ice trolls with a fiery(ironic), burning passion. Ran into one while going up the 7,000 steps, died twice.. and had to re-load my save a third time and sneak around it.

Thought about sneaking around it, but it looked like there was only one way to go. I died several times I am going up the steps right now.

360. Is it the ice troll where you're walking into a little mini-valley where the troll is standing on a ledge at the end of it? If so, take a left at the beginning of said mini-valley and maneuver over the rock/mountain face until you reach the other end of the mini-valley. Sneak until you're out of his range and you should be clear. It's how I did it.
