I completely disagree. If you want to hurt yourself, then who am I to stop you? As long as it isn't harming anybody else, I really don't care what people do.

I'm not going to get in the way of somebody else's live choices. If somebody wants to smoke, do drugs, etc. ... I really don't care. Not my life, not my problem. It only becomes a problem when it directly impacts another person's life (second-hand smoke in a small area, driving under the influence and harming somebody, etc.). Otherwise, smoking is okay by me. Just don't do it indoors and be considerate around people who don't want to inhale smoke.

Already addressed. That impacts the lives of others, and is therefore not okay. Only do it by yourself outdoors without people around, unless other people willingly join you (thereby taking the responsibility).

In the context of only harming oneself, that's fine by me. I don't care what somebody does with their life.

Yes, whatever my personal feelings may be it's understable very uncomfortable for alot of people to be around, so it shouldn't be allowed in a public space where you are close to ther people. Or alternatively, if it is allowed at least have a sign clearly stating so, so that people may enter at their own risk.

It's not someone's right to give you lung-cancer. It's manageable with smoking designated areas there - but if at all possible addicts just can't sit behind you stinking up your cloths and changing the taste of your food.

I'd like smoking to be banned from restaurants since not all people find it good. I am a non-smoker but I don't hate people who smoke. I have nothing against them if they prefer to do this hobby. It's just that I have weak lungs and being in an area with smokers may put my lungs at stake. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a problem like this. Another option is for restaurant owners to consider putting an exclusive area for smokers. This way, everyone's happy!

When you are a smoker, you dont notice the smell.

If you arent, you notice immediately and you wonder just how bad your meal is going to be spoiled because someone couldn't wait or go somewhere else with their deathsticks.
