If you think he's a good choice(I do) post why. If you don't , post why

#2 Edited by Superskrull86 (1831 posts) - - Show Bio

No one should play Ghost Rider. They ruined his chance at a decent film.

#3 Posted by longbowhunter (6625 posts) - - Show Bio

Could he do it? Absolutely. Should he do it? No goddamn way. It would be career suicide for him.

#4 Posted by kingmark14 (768 posts) - - Show Bio

@longbowhunter: how so? A ghost rider film could be a big money maker if put in the hands of the right directer, a good script, good cgi and a good actor. Ryan looks the part mostly. If someone else were to make the film, it might turn out right

#5 Posted by longbowhunter (6625 posts) - - Show Bio

@kingmark14: I'm afraid Ghost Rider already has the stink on him. Kinda like the 2003 Hulk movie kept the 2008 Incredible Hulk movie from finding more success.

That is a pretty good shout.

Again with the Ryan Gosling casting threads. Why is everyone so obsessed with casting him in a comic book movie? lol

#8 Posted by russellmania77 (14421 posts) - - Show Bio

Why the hell does everybody thing goslin is fit for every super hero role

#9 Posted by kingmark14 (768 posts) - - Show Bio

@russellmania77: well, he'd look good on a motorcycle and in a jacket. Not to mention he's a good actor

i saw the movie behind the pines or whatever and he was really good, i agree i think he would make a good johnny blaze but nick cage already ruined everything lol

#12 Posted by kasino (1321 posts) - - Show Bio

yea he actually can talk in his movies too

give him a leather jacket Outsider(Sodapop) look and there you go

no screaming Ghost Rider scenes

HELL NO.

See what I did there? But seriously...

#14 Posted by Bruxae (12248 posts) - - Show Bio

No, because Ryan Gosling is a bad actor.

an actor with limits and ghost rider is outside of his limits

Yes because we've never seen a superhero film recover from a previous disaster before..cough*Man of Steel compared to Superman Returns*cough..:)

People are close minded which is the problem. A GR film could easily be successful if it were put in the hands of a proper writer, director, and actors...All 3 of which weren't present in both his films. Anyways no Ryan Gosling should not play GR. and neither should some of these people support such an idea. Why? Simple really. Gosling has that "pretty boy" look about him which Johnny Blaze's character does not possess nor should he. Blaze has always been portrayed,at least in the stories I've read him in,as looking kind of rough necked or ragged..if he has his beard like he did in Aaron's run anyways. I mean the guy spends most of his time when he's not doing GR business hanging around in a bar and drinking. I just don't see Gosling as the kind of guy that captures that. I personally think Gosling looks like a fruitcake

No. Ghost Rider does not deserve another movie to begin with. They tried and failed miserably.

Surprisingly, a lot of Viner's enjoyed Superman Returns. Also, Superman Returns is leagues better than the Ghost Rider films.

#23 Posted by Superskrull86 (1831 posts) - - Show Bio

@gambit474: DC didn't have the guts to make a sequel to a already horrible movie. And what movie were you watching to think MoS was decent? Not really a recovery. They tried with Spidey. In my (and many others) eyes, it was a fail. But in the cash aspect, it was ok. If money is all marvel cares about (which it kinda is), it could be successful.

#24 Posted by kingmark14 (768 posts) - - Show Bio

@silkyballfro94: you're kidding about Jack black right? The only way marvel will pick HIM is if want to make it a comedy.

#25 Posted by MonsterStomp (15315 posts) - - Show Bio

This.

@kingmark14: No I actually wasn't kidding, I think he has superior acting skills and would be a great fit for this role.

No.

Nobody should play Ghost Rider. There shouldn't be anymore Ghost Rider movies.

Marvel had it's chances and Ghost Rider had his movies. Marvel should move on to other characters.

#33 Edited by Pokeysteve (7926 posts) - - Show Bio

This is a great idea. They could do the arc where Johnny dies. That way we get to see Gosling get shot in the f**king face. Stop with these already. Jesus.

#34 Edited by Gambit474 (1460 posts) - - Show Bio

You guys are incredibly retarded, close minded, and foolish. Ghost Rider doesn't deserve anymore films? Yeah one of Marvel's top anti-heroes doesn't deserve a film because of his past films done by a different company(Sony.) GR's character in the books is quite awesome and deserves a film just as much as anyone else. Sad part is you guys have your heads too far up your asses probably to comprehend that if you take a good writer, good director, and good actors that, wait for it,....You can actually have a good film. Marvel owned films like Captain America,Thor,Iron Man,Avengers, and everything else has had relevant success therefore the same would be true with GR under their banner.

Guys like The Punisher,Ghost Rider, and others need to have films because it's about time Marvel puts out some of their more darker characters like them..Not to mention that guys like Ghost Rider,Doctor Strange, etc would be more into the mystical theme that they've not really gone into yet. Hell I doubt even half of the guys saying no to a GR film have even read GR's comics. "Marvel had its chances"..No power, they didn't because Marvel didn't make the films..Sony did. Hard for Marvel to "move on to other characters"when they didn't even own the rights to the character before..But hey let's say Marvel should give up on X-men too because they own them as well right? Oh wait..They don't. Smh..Anyways Marvel's got the rights back to GR and unlike some,as mentioned before, close minded fools..I actually have faith in Marv that they could give GR a much deserved and proper film ;)

#35 Posted by MonsterStomp (15315 posts) - - Show Bio

Why doesn't Marvel own any of their characters in the film industry? So stupid.

#36 Posted by theTimeStreamer (2841 posts) - - Show Bio

@monsterstomp: WB owns all of dc. what have they done with it? batman and superman movies. at least marvel's characters are given chances.

a 3 billion dollar box office movie franchise with the dark knight saga alone. burton movies, superman movies, green lantern, jonah hex, and a few more

#39 Posted by theTimeStreamer (2841 posts) - - Show Bio

@russellmania77: i mentioned the superman batman movies. what else? a horrible dbz movie with jonah hex and gl that fought a cloud of fear. marvel on the other hand gave a chance to: x-men, thor, wolverine, hulk, captain america, iron man, avengers, fantastic four and more soon to come. what are dc's plans? a superman and batman movie.

lets see x-men in an avenger film NOT. Superman and Batman both are more popular than anything marvel is coming out with

@russellmania77: what would the x-men do in an avengers movie? oh wait you're just saying that because you have nothing to defend the dc movies with. careful, your fanboyism is showing.

@thetimestreamer: WRONG. My fan boy is always showing. And what would wolverine and spider-man do with the avengers you ask??? Not a very smart question lmao

Not Johnny, he'd be a decent Danny. Not my first choice but he could probably pull it off.

Maybe. He's an awesome actor, and I think he could do a decent job. Kind of like Christian Bale in TDKR. but there are far better choices out there. Like this guy...

Charlie Hunnam

#50 Posted by ccraft (5016 posts) - - Show Bio

Ryan isn't a bad ass, he's just a good looking guy whose a decent actor, if anything he should be Booster Gold.
