She Left.......Let eat waffles

So my stepmom just left. She was throwing away some of my dads papers and he got pissed because they were his papers. In the trash he found a picture of his aunt, then he found a ripped up pieces of some photos that he took when he went to Montreal. He went totally ballistic and now she is gone. I don't really give a SH!t thogh. Am I wrong or is it okay to feel this way about a woman who I have only known since May?
