Severe Anxiety Anonymous

I guess...

So I've been to every doctor imaginable.

I constantly feel like I can't breath and have chest pain. I'm tired all day. Feel nausea for no reason. All day, every day. And every professional tells me I'm physically fine.

This thread is for the rest of you without an explanation for your daily panic.

Talk about whatever you want. However you want.

P.S.

Take a breath. That's what everyone keeps telling me.

Lol! That GIF. xD Also, you say you're tired all day? How's your iron levels? If they're low maybe that's why? I'm sorry to hear about this. Have the doctors prescribed you on anything?

Lol! That does sound like a funny name. Also sorry for asking so many questions I just like to help people out. I don't really suffer anxiety but only do when I'm extremely nervous which is rare. It sucks the doctors aren't even sure what the cause is of the symptoms you have and such. Hope eventually there will be an answer so you don't have to suffer with chest pains and breathing problems.

Yeah, blood work and all other tests have been okay. It's a bit perplexing lol.

Start exercising, the adrenaline supposedly helps subside the chemicals your brain excretes to bring on anxiety or panic attacks

Have you any relative suffering from the same condition ? Have you tried to get into an anonymous circle of people with anxiety, in order to share your experiences and maybe learn others ways to deal with it ?

You know that you have to go outside and play sometimes, because being on the internet too much is actually dangerous for having a person stay still -reading and typing for hours. If your body stays still for too long, it can cause blood clots.

http://www.foxnews.com/health/2011/08/01/xbox-gamer-dies-blood-clot-after-marathon-session/

If the chest feels pains, a clot is forming in your lungs. Of course when you get up and move around it breaks up the clot so when you go to the doctor, the doctor reads you "fine". But, if you're like the gamer on the above link and sit or lay being on the internet all day, the clot can be so large it will not break away.

Just something to think about.

In emergency: Doctor steps:

Step 1) Listen to heart and check blood pressure

Step 2) EKG and a blood test

Step 3) X-Ray to check for clots or for an enlarged heart

Step 4) CAT scan with IV die to find the areas where the X-Ray can not find.

Have you tried going to a psychiatrist specializing in anxiety? If it's nothing physical then it might be smart to visit an expert on mental issues concerning this. (Although be careful they don't give you a bunch of medication, some doctors/psychiatrist are a bit quick to hand this stuff out). Is there anything going on in your life that might give you anxiety? Stressful situation, nasty break up, suffered a great loss?

As a person who's been diagnosed with GAD, my best advice to anyone with anxiety is to not bottle things in. Talk to someone, write about it, etc. That, and make decisions based on brains, and not emotion. I've been doing the following for a while now, and I haven't had a breakdown in 2 years :)

@Glitch_Spawn: Honestly, there are good days and bad days. Keeping busy helps: write stuff, play some video games, read, school etc. If I ever feel down, I try to see if I can go chill out with my friends, but if it's too late (and usually it is) I do one of the following things. If all else fails, I pop a Z-Quil, and I sleep it off (as I had trouble sleeping when I was in my "anxiety mode")

@Glitch_Spawn:

Have your doctor's explained the biochemical processes behind such issues as anxiety, depression, bi-polar, etc. I'm guessing they have as they have given you a script.

I have been on at least four diff script's for depression so far. Been off of them now for about half a year. The problems are still there most of the time. I hate it when the wave rolls in.

If you haven't heard of it yet I can recommend you look into cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT) and a book titled Getting Your Life Back by Jesse H. Wright.

Oh...and take a deep breath....=)
