I've never even figured out what the meme means. What the heck is a Jimmy and why does it being rustled mean people are getting upset? Do apes call worries jimmies?

I know I could google this, but it frustrates me how the meme has no decipherable reason for existing. It also annoys me that people throw it around at the first sign of anything debatable. "I think we should have lower taxes," says one guy, and immediately, some dope throws in, "The great rustling has begun," meme. No it hasn't! It's not even a thing.

I don't know, but it's really overdone.

the funny part is that memes, from the science of memetics, of which there have been several laudable documentaries, has jack sh!t to do with crappy half-arsed "takes a second to make" gifs. Gif whores and ad agency wanks (often the same thing) merely co-opted the term inaccurately, the same way Alannis Morissete co-opted "Ironic" for a song with no descriptions of Irony anywhere (the only - accidental - irony in her song).

I've always wondered if one of the little boys that visited MJ's Neverland Ranch was named Jimmy.
