This, my knee-jerk reaction is rock because I much prefer it as a style though there are a couple of rappers that are amazing. Generally, you get into the guys that have a couple indy albums but aren't on a big label yet you can usually find some great stuff from either genre.
Depends on the rapper/rocker. All artists in their respective genres are not the same. Weedeater is different from UV Race and One Be Lo is different from Doom.
I swear to god, whoever made up the r.a.p. statement watched 50 cent rapping and judged it based on that. Either way there is no need to mock rock or rap.

@Remoness: Look, I apologize. It's just so annoying being a hip hop head and you get no respect from other genres (who have had no real immersion in the other genres they mock). That and the fact I have a headache isn't helping much.
Personally i think Rockers are better , why because there is more to it theres actual musical talent in terms of instruments etc and are generally more of a spectical of skill. Rappers are no doubt skilled but a rapper will never have the stage pressence of Full size talented rock band in my view.

@Billy Batson: its more that i rely on spell check. I used to have to type reports up fast for my old job so i noramlly edit post type. But since this has no spell check and i dont have word on my pc i just make alot of speed related mistakes.
i like them both, although i DO have more rock on my ipod than rap, but there are a LOT of good rappers out there too, my personal favorite being Eminem, dude is clever when he puts together every verse!
