So I just sold my car, and I'm in dire need of a new one. I have about $3500 to work with, so can anyone recommend a quality used car that's decent on gas, fairly reliable, and won't die on me in a month? The Batmobile is just out of my price range.

-Year

-Make

-Model

-Any major maintenance prospects

PS: I'm kind of inclined toward General Motors, but I'm open.

This is my car, you should get one too. This is the 1989 Keaton Bat-mobile, it runs on a special kind of fuel and is probably the fastest car on Earth, it can withstand bullets and even small missiles so it is probably one of the safest cars for you to ride and your family. The radio is also pretty sweet.

@darkknightdetective: The Tumbler has all that, along with extra-durable plating, better fuel efficiency, and a bonus motorcycle. Not to mention how much closer it is to the price range.

Car? Why not get a bike? Less durable but its manoeuverable and its easier to cut through traffic jams.

@fallschirmjager: Right now I'm using cars.com and craiglist, but I'll check that out. My buddy found a 79 Caprice Classic with all original parts for $3,000 on eBay.

@danhimself: The feel is real, bro.

Seconded. Although,

the Spider-Mobile is a close second.

Yeah but domestic cars from that year aren't the most fuel efficient. And I hear the 72 Spiderbuggy's alignment starts to fall apart after 30, 000 pages.

You can never go wrong with a Civic, regardless of the year or model. Fantastic on cas and reliable as all heck! Personally, I'm saving up for a Mazda 3 2006 (sedan of course).

@deranged_midget: I'm just now opening up to foreign cars. Partially because of 'Murrican pride, but also because my grandfather is teaching me how GM engines are structured. I'm also looking at a 2000 Toyota Camry for $1900.

@danhimself: My first car was gift, good on gas, and only cost $800. It sucks because it made me a cheap.
