It means unimaginative. I think it applies pretty well. I can usually laugh at some good trolling, but not when is banal and predictable.

Not quite. A pedant is one who shows off his knowledge in regards to academia or pays too much attention to minor formal rules. Pedantic obviously wouldn't apply to what was said in my topic so you don't really know what the word means.
